A civil rights movement among androids?

I'm back with another bonkers threory. So we see in Prometheus David 8 being treated with a mixture of disdain at best and at worst outright hostility with threats of physical violence and intimidation also evident. Its obvious that androids are treated with contempt and a lack of common respect. Go forward to the events of Alien and an android is still seen as a 'goddamned robot', notice the change in attitude when its made clear that Ash is not, as previously thought, a human being. But 57 years later and we get to Aliens where its clear a significant shift has taken place. Every effort is made to include Bishop as one of the lads, from the affectionate knife scene with Hudson and even going as far as giving him a cryochamber that he clearly doesn't need. This would be nearly a century after Prometheus and the android at that time didn't need one so a presumably more advanced one in Bishop wouldn't need one either. Bishop even feels brave enough to venture his own suggestions as to how he should be addressed, as an 'artificial person'. Onto Alien 3 and the idea of the integration of androids I think is cemented. At the end when the Company sends along the man who had apparently designed Bishop, notice the shift from Alien and the 'goddamned robot' to 'you're an android sent by the fucking Company'. The focus for disdain and hostility has shifted from the androids to the Company suggesting a new feeling of empathy from human beings toward androids and their exploitation by big corporations. A few centruries later in Resurrection however and it is clear that things are still not hunky dory owing to the rebellion that Call and other androids had apparently taken part in against their human masters. Obviously a lot of exploitation is still taking place against them. So can we assume some effort was made, almost akin to the civil rights movements of the 20th century, to give androids if not equal footing with humans at least more integration and respect?
