Hope so. Those two gave the best acting performance, and I'm stoked to see them return in the sequel.

I noticed that too...that head is going back on...but the details escape me as to how..something intelligent would have to do that complex task...

Maybe they went back for the Pauling Med-pod and somehow program it to work on replicants lol.
Hell, I'm sure David can use his vast programmed knowledge to work something out.

Well technically RS said that she will in no way put the head on the body and still, you have to ask why she took it. If she's not gonna put it on then she must have some other reason to take it. Other than that is there any way in which it can still happen without her allowing it? What might that be? He can't do it himself I guess.

Well if she didn't take the head then he can't talk to her. She needs him to talk her through things - like maybe how to reconnect his head. LOL

@kinslayer... Where did ridley say that shaw will in no way put david's head back on? Context? im a bit confused. Did ridley directly address the logistics of creating a sequel that includes both david and shaw? I mean... obviously it stands to reason that those would be the two returning characters should a sequel be made, but i had no idea ridley had even commented on the prospects of a sequel other than to say that he had initially conceived of the prometheus narrative as one that would span several movies.

Its thought provoking to think that Shaw is almost hell bent on retrieving and securing the head for future research and it is destroyed by the lab test gone wrong. Then ironically, she is hell bent upon retrieving Davids head for the knowledge it contains. What was a good and tantalizing thing to think of was that the alien head seemed to almost re-animate when exposed to the Black Substance or some correct form of stimuli and almost wanted to talk and say stop! There is an uncanny parallel from the Alien head symbology at the begining of the film and the android head towards the end.
