Green crystal/alien mural in sequel

Funny thing is, the crystal wasn't even in the trailers. So, either they changed the story at some point or were misleading us with the trailers. Look at my thread, it was a SJ sacrificial bowl originally. That's why I love this movie so much! So many questions and things that make you wonder.... The Mural with the Alien was indeed was a modification right out of Gigers book "Necronomicon". If you don't agree, watch the HD preview of Prometheus . It shows the Alien with it's arms out and a devil of some sort standing behind it. Then look at "H.R. Giger Necronomicon" on youtube right at 1:03. Also the hive picture from that book as well. I think we are to see more creates from that book show up in the next movie.. Sightly altered I believe. Such a great film!

I'm with you there, Bluesfool. I noticed that green crystal as well. Seemed like it was important somehow, but they didn't delve into it. I hope the money keeps rolling into their coffers, so we can find out where Ridley wants to take the story next!

yeah. this definitely needs to be resolved (at least subtly) in future films. the 3 pieces of xeno/giger-esque art inside the ampule room ( 1) the xeno relief behind the green rock that also depicts facehuggers and humans! 2) the ambiguous engineer mural. 3) the mural that depicts a traditional xeno hand holding a traditional egg) must provide something to the bio-chronology of the xenomorph and its relationship with the engineers and humans. Im really interested in this. please address this in a future movie! hehe. I dont want the xenos to take center stage, but we need some clarification somewhere along the line. The abovementioned art directly relates to why the juggernaut on lv 426 contains eggs, while the juggernaut we see in prometheus contains ampules. Why the disparity? we can speculate, but this is one aspect of the story that does not need to be left vague/ambiguous etc. Its central to understanding alien, aliens, and alien 3 (i dont count the other films :)) I mean...although its done in an interesting fashion, prometheus has thrown the origins of the franchise into a state of confusion.
