Firstly - Ridley Scott is one sneaky SOB. Why, let me show you... We have the Weyland Corporation logo... Which looks like a combination of the Weyland-Yutani Logo from Aliens... ...and the logo from Alien... Now i know some people have inferred that the original W-Y logo in Alien is inspired by Egyptian motives, but with the recent video showing Peter Weyland reciting something called "Zarathrustra", i did some digging and when I wiki'ed Zarathrustra I was redirected to Zoroastrianiam, of which has the associated image... On the button and in the money. I don't know how anyone can think Sir Ridley was asleep at the wheel of this film. Was he nodding in any other movie? No. You've only got to look up the meanings of the character's names to see how the whole nine yards is packed with underlying significance. More coffee, please, no milk.

Whoohoo so we have discovered what exactly?! That Ridley scott can use google - wow! Dont get me wrong ridley has been my favourite director for ages but recently he has been falling asleep at the wheel as such - kingdom of god and roobin hood to name just a few bad films hes done recently! And some of the directing in prometheus is shocking for someone of his grade but then again all the best directors seem to be going this way as they get old : ( ...

With enough determination to find depth where there is none, I'm sure I could find the face of Moses subliminally hidden in the textures of a pizza-base.

Yeah, my 9 year old nephew looked at the hammerpeede and asked if I thought Ridley had done that on purpose. I really didn't think so at the time but who knows.

RS is firstly, a fine artist. You can see his talents in his sketches alone. Nothing was thrown up on the screen by chance (have you guys ever watched the crappy films on SyFy?) Everything in Prometheus had an overt or in most cases, covert meaning. This was how Kubrick and Clarke did 2001. I'm old enough to remember seeing it for this first time (in Cinerama). The critics and viewers slammed it. Now it's considered -and rightly so- the greatest SciFi film of all time. If a 9 year old could see the Hammerpede reference so clearly, I don't know why so many adults are panning this film and director.

To Crabfart: In my opinion Kingdom of Heaven (director's cut!) is very good movie and Robin Hood is not brilliant, but good. Annyway, Ridley is one of my favorite directors.
