When the engineer wakes up out of his cry sleep and still in a fog, he has got the woman screaming at him in English and that gets his full attention. When David starts talking in Engineer tongue, He is captivated by it and even starts patting David on the head like you would a puppy dog...He was not expecting to see humans, have them talk and even more fascinating and unexpected...have a robot greet him in his language...RESULT? He Killed them all which supports my premise of... this coming together was not part of the engineers plan
