Elite group of humans? You mean the crew of prometheus? The weaponisation cycle was complete long before that. How long has that Xenomorph image been on that wall/door? How long have those Xenomorph eggs been on the derelict on LV 426. No, I'm saying that these clowns are not the first humans to land on LV 223. Why else would there be functioning atmosphere processors producing the clean breathable air, cleaner than 2093 Earth air even (perhaps as clean as it was before the industrial revolution?) The Space Jockey as we saw, can run outside without a mask, in an atmosphere that would cause a human to pass out in seconds, and be dead in a couple of minutes. But "igor" can sprint across, and pull airlock doors open with his bare hands, and not seem out of breath. That atmosphere inside the dome, is for human benefit. The 'Invitation' ... was that a map for us to follow? Or was it a returning human depicting what he saw in the 3d hologram? We can speculate elsewhere as to why they would let one come back. happened in Earth slavery too, but perhaps a returning human also helped convince the others to obey their technologically advanced masters as Gods.
