Davids behavior to a certaindegree is mirroring that ofAshs.Priorknowledge again

Judging by Davids behavior he or rather Weyland Corp. have known about this Bio Engineer race for some time prior to the Prometheus going to LV 223. Straight away David begins typing in codes and passwords within the temple complex and no one dares question this. Or if not dares, than they don't think to question it. How does he know so much of this alien culture if no one of the human race has apparantly been there yet? Other than the holo-recordings of the language teacher he recites from it still beggars the question there has to be a point of origin for this material and someone or something has to have been in continual comunication for some time to aquire a certain amount of discernrable information to make sense out of to then know where to press the right symbols etc. It implies that former contact was perhaps established proir to the Prometheus ships' departure otherwise, why all of the latest state of the art equipment aboard and the melodramatic touch of Peter Weyland being a kind of stow away on board as well? How could they know that it was a mission that could have a reasonable chance of success at the other end of the journey if they did not have some inside or prior knowledge that it was worth the risk of sending both Weyland senior and Jr. together? Both managing directors of the corperation, high risk again? And as with Ash, it appears that the events of Prometheus and at a later stage in the development of the franchise two sequels more or less will have events contained within them which will unfold revealing the magnitude of prior knowledge that he knew of before the events of Alien began too.
