'Prometheus' 3D high-definition technology used to film wedding video High-definition camera technology used on films such as Prometheus and The Hobbit has been used by one Californian couple to film their recent nuptials. The video was filmed on RED Epic cameras worth $75,000 (£48,000) with 5K resolution and in stereoscopic 3D, the same camera specifications used by Peter Jackson and Ridley Scott in their blockbuster movies. Peter Chang, who was involved in the production of the video, sent Gizmodo a number of images from the shoot and even a teaser trailer. Chang revealed that the couple did not have any photos taken as "each frame can also be extracted as a high-resolution 3D still image". The wedding took place at The Mirador Estate in Montecito, near Santa Barbara, California. Chang revealed that the spring bloom of the garden resulted in "some gorgeous 3D visuals to complement Julia and Stuart, the bride and groom".
