Engineers seed life on other worlds

Think about it. If the Engineers had visited and seeded primordial planets across the universe, there are bound to be humans living on them and as advanced as ours on Earth. Have they visited LV 233? Or have they been wiped out by the Engineers except for Earth? Perhaps in the sequel Shaw will discover a planet once inhabited by humans? Will they have the same Christian faith as her? The possibilities seem to rake up even more as we begin to unravel the mystery of the Engineers.

Perhaps, but Im not sure I buy the 'innevitability' of human life as you seem to be implying here. To me, that sort of talk rings a little too strongly of Xian thinking. I mean, consider all the innumerable variables involved in the evolution of multicellular organisms (mutations, environmental conditions, etc etc). Even if we grant there being a 'number' of solar systems non-trivially similiar to our own that the Engineers have attempted to 'seed', is it really innevitable that human life will evolve in each?

Yes there is a possibility that human species may appear differently on other worlds due to differing environmental conditions but what is important to note is that they would share the same DNA with the Engineers as Shaw discovered. Could it be Earth in the opening sequence of the film? But the crux is whether or not it is Earth, it does not really matter. The aliens were there and which is why Prometheus was sent on its way to make contact. If it is not Earth, it may imply the Engineers are doing the seeding on a potentially habitable planet like Earth. So how would the creation look like? Human-like? Engineer-like? We cannot discount the possibility of a human-like being of the same Engineer DNA (albeit alien) strand living on worlds across the universe.

Good point Mrphew, I see the only real difference between us and the "Engineers Children" on other worlds being the height, bone density, size of organs of atmosphere breathed, because I suspect that we were engineered to evolve to way we did, from what we did.

I think both mrphew and Snorkelbottom bring up some good points. Talk of the Jockeys race making worlds habitable was talked about even as far back as 1979. In December of 1979 Warren publishing released a special on Alien: One article entitled 'The Space Jockeys Tale'. Based on, and i quote, "facts at our disposal' and 'some reasonable speculation', they talk about how the Jockeys race out grew their native world and had resorted to altering a planets environment making it habitable. They had done this to countless planets using their own sophisticated science. It goes on to say that thousands of years ago the Jockey's race had intended to do the same with LV-426 to make it habitable.
