MILLBURN . . .

What happened to Millburn’s body?
The crew returns to the temple and find Millburn dead. The hammerpede leaps out of his throat. Cut to the scene concentrating on rushing Holloway to the ship for medical attention.
What we know about the Alien cycle is that a host is needed for ‘seeding’. In this case the hammerpede paralyses Millburn, puts him in a coma or kills him outright. I presume there is a plot-related reason for this, for Millburn not receiving the same 'treatment' as Fifield. Did Milburn’s carcass spawn another xenomorph that was cut from the film? If not, is this something we might see in a sequel?
Or was this loose-end dealt with, and I simply missed it?
