Ridley Scott: Predators Created Xenos?

Short answer - NO Some people assume that the predators created the Xenomorph to hunt them as seen in the AVP film, this was never stated by anyone, least of all Ridley Scott. I repeat - Nobody, ever, officially, has stated that the Predators created the Xenomorphs. In Prometheus it is hinted, inferred that the Engineers (formerly known as Space Jockeys) created the Xenomorph.

yeah snork thats the page i was on. Thank you. i've never heard of Scott or anyone else saying the predators created xenos. i didn't see the avp films so thought there might have been some evidence in there. but my friend is convinced Scott has said this somewhere. Slap it it is.

NO, just to reiterate

I think that in AVP the Predators were using the zenomorphs and humans as tools for making the prey for there hunting not creating. Also many people just don't consider AVP a part of the ALIEN saga do to plot holes such as Yutani Weyland dying in AVP that takes place in 2004 and being in Alien 3 which takes place in the very distant future.

in AvP it was stated that the Predators came down and helped with the pyramids and all that stuff. We worshipped them and they used us as vessels for the aliens. So it's hinted that the predators "control" the dispersal of the aliens and are fully aware of all planets with the Alien, and all planets that have a queen to hatch eggs, hence the queen on earth in antartica. your friend is correct in the sense of predators USING the alien as game and sport and humans being caught in the middle. however, the predator universe (film) and alien universe (film) are totally separate. the predator universe is also separate to the AVP universe as well, correct me if i'm wrong though.(on that point)
