Okay, so for starters, I am VERY INTERESTED in this whole "message from Weyland Industries" that people who went to Comic-con have recieved, and in turn are sharing with the rest of us. A thank you is in order for that. Now, moving on, the idea is that you call the # 9395263 which spells out the name W E Y L A N D on your phones keypad correct? Now this is the part where I say that my point could end here, right now, and my next observation would in fact be coincidence, making my whole theory and post, a waste of time and I apologize for wasting your time. Sorry. - - - Now little ol "unsatisfied with just the awesomeness of the audio" me, decided to google the # 9395263 And oddly enough, very oddly enough, the first link is this: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9395263 So I click on it, and it's a whole bunch of mumbo jumbo. But wait, it's a whole bunch of SCIENTIFIC mumbo jumbo! The first line talks about "Analysis of P[gal4] insertion lines of Drosophila melanogaster as a route to identifying genes important in the follicle cells during oogenesis." Yeah I know, 1 + 1 = 2, and you lost me after that... but the whole " Drosophila melanogaster" thing struck my fancy, so I researched that further.I love Google and Wiki. And it came up that the words stand for some type of fruit fly. But not just any old fly. I'ts the most commonly used fly for a whole bunch of scientific studies used to try and better the human race. Here are some cool things I pulled from it: - This species is a model organism that is widely used for biological research in studies of genetics, physiology, microbial pathogenesis and life history evolution. It is typically used because it is an animal species that is easy to care for, breeds quickly, and lays many eggs. - Similarity to humans About 75% of known human disease genes have a recognizable match in the genome of fruit flies,[20] and 50% of fly protein sequences have mammalian homologs. An online database called Homophila is available to search for human disease gene homologues in flies and vice versa.[21] Drosophila is being used as a genetic model for several human diseases including the neurodegenerative disorders Parkinson's, Huntington's, spinocerebellar ataxia and Alzheimer's disease. The fly is also being used to study mechanisms underlying aging and oxidative stress, immunity, diabetes, and cancer, as well as drug abuse. Yeah it said aging......don't think about Peter Weylands whole plan or anything, I know I didnt. :P - Drosophila melanogaster is a small, common fly found near unripe and rotted fruit. It has been in use for over a century to study genetics and lends itself well to behavioral studies - Thomas Hunt Morgan was the preeminent biologist studying Drosophila early in the 1900's. Morgan was the first to discover sex-linkage and genetic recombination, which placed the small fly in the forefront of genetic research. - Due to it's small size, ease of culture and short generation time, geneticists have been using Drosophila ever since. It is one of the few organisms whose entire genome is known and many genes have been identified. - Fruit flies are easily obtained from the wild and most biological science companies carry a variety of different mutations I'll say it again, yes this is all based off a number, that could have just been used to spell WEYLAND, and there could be no way that the number just so happened to be the "category number" on a science website. So please don't start bashing me, because I thought IF ANYTHING, it would be an interesting read for fans of Alien, and Prometheus. - Maybe the scientists in the future had some kind of breakthrough with this fly and that's why our technology jumped? - Maybe to the Engineers, we are just like the flys......experiments for them to reach their next step in their own evolution? Either way, if you like it, thank you, if you don't like it, then did it really hurt you to read all of this?......hey maybe at least you learned a little bit about fruit flys!! aha!

You did good :) , they have a small genoma,a short life so u can play with that lil bugs a lot..... Just remeber dont sneeze or breath hard when u are counting them... Or u will get extra fun.
The world will spin well past our last breath, but I will always care about you

I think the research that is referred to here into aging is interesting and it is also related to disease control with things such as cancer especially research about teleomere- the end bits of our chromosomes its all about our hardwired programming that either doesn't work too well or... works perfectly but came with a programmed lifespan as in Bladerunner replicants we are all actually moving with similar constraints :) the eminent scientist Audrey de Grey is very cool to read he sees aging as definetly NOT eminent we just havnt worked out how to stop it its pretty much the end bits of our chromosomes getting worn out as they undergo years of replication its all about genetics [engineering?] check out his interview if you are interested Aubrey de Grey interview

In Snorkelbottom’s thread ‘The Secrets of the Black Liquid REVEALED’, the last paragraph reads, “Therefore they seeded life using their DNA in the hope that their children (us) would save them from extinction, and then created the means by which to extract the genetic material they needed - the Xenomorph.” So your thread surely ties in with Snorkelbottom’s, Peter Weyland’s wonderful work and wicked wishes and the reason why the Engineers wish to throw xenos at us. As to 9395263 both spelling Weyland and leading directly to Drosophila Melanogaster, why should any of it be just coincidence? The number and name must be deliberate IMHO with a 99.99r% probability ratio and it must be highly possible that someone involved with Prometheus has a cinephiliac contact at the National Centre for Biotechnology Information. Biotechnology being interchangeable with Biomechanics or perhaps that’s too on the nose? Who knows whose nose knows whose nose knows? Time to bang my head against the wall.

THe reason for then Weyland message is that the Engineers are here on Eartth now..living among us... in 'suitable' bodies that conceal their true nature... Thy are leaving clues to recuit 'advanced' humans to join Weyland and be part of the development team leading up to the Prometheus mission.
Be choicelessly aware as you move through life

@ Indy John I think I'll pass on that. Mr Weyland seems the type who'd make sure there were no witnesses.
