This interseting that even in this world we can't write the date of this day in the same the same manner,, No Communicatuion problem here!!! Makes me question the Mayan Doomsdate in DEC/2012.. Maybe I'll need the Life Insurance afterall.

I work for an international organisation. In all my correspondence, I write dates in the Japanese format, which is the most logical of formats, is closely related to the standard form of exchanging date representations in XML, and has least ambiguity: YYYY-MM-DD e.g. 2012-07-16 is today.

"..XML, and has least ambiguity.." I have not heard of this format for Dates...and I like it. Now with what I use(MM/DD/YY) you have to look at the last digits and mentally back track to the month/date toi understand.. So yes I can understand your using this format. It would make sense that by the end of this Century others would also see the light..and create a universal expression of the date.. In my former work we would recieve dated packages with the Euro style which caused tremdous problems with the crew when confronted with 17/6/12 ...

Could the date be for a book release? A lot of times they release a book after a movie.
