I wonder if the Engineer had been kept alive briefly prior to his death by the D

Here is a reversal and we have a beak-shaped protrusion (in this instance, the back of the Deacons pointy-head) pecking its way OUT of the alien mans body roughly near the liver area instead of in. It seemed as though the producers were being ironic and having the 'Pecking Action' of a beack-like object from some creature pecking its way out of anothers body. Maybe the Deacon 'fed' upon the liver aswell as many other internal organs of the Bio Engineer before it emerged from within his torso cavity.
He may not be kept alive but because it (The Deacon) got out of the Engineers body the way it did I wonder if their is going to be some sort of purgatory for him and his 'sins' for want of a better word. I think he suffered too much trauma to his chest cavity area but I was just observing and pondering possible solutions.
