If you want to get a better understanding of Prometheus, watch Clash of the Titans 1981 with laurence olivier! I don't want to spoil it! So let me just say that, what happens to the Engineers as something to do with God Judging them and mutating them as punishment for either creating us or giving us knowledge. Check it out!

The poster was good though!

I'll have to watch the old one. The new one stinks, like sweaty socks. Thanks for the idea!

No probs deftones1986. It was on the tele last Sunday BBC. It seemed quite similar to Prometheus in alot of ways. I could be wrong but you never know...

The original Clash of the Titans is awesome indeed. But both Prometheous and CTT are what they are. They are mans take on the relationship between god or gods and the human race.

@ FreePlanet. Is that a hint of sarcasm i detect? lol :-) I wasn't very articulate in my comment. I'm not suggesting that Prometheus is a Remake of Clash of the Titans! I'm suggesting that maybe Lindelof, Spaights or RS have taken inspiration from CotT and tryed to pass them off as original idea...

I take it all back. Just the Giant Kracken bit that's similar. I don't think there's any original ideas in Prometheus, its more of a Mish mash of different ideas, including X Files the movie. (Black Goo! Black Goo! Black Goo!) X Files in outer-space! Mmm, Shaw and Holloway= Mulder and Scully?

The poster was good though!

I really loved CotT ´81, in its time, the effects already were kinda oldfashioned with the Ray Harryhausen animations..but the story rocked.. in fact it still is one of the best classic mythology action/fantasy movies, the remake is ok, but cant be compared IMO.. @ Lindelof/Spaight taken inspiration..wtf, I dont get it, I mean.. IF they did, they did a really BAAADD job of trying it ;)
