This is AWESOME! I hope that there is a side story that will have a rescue team look for survivors of the Prometheus to LV 223 and they encounter the Deacon as its mature. Who knows, maybe that's what 10.11.12 is.

wow! im am so excited! Frankly, im a bit surprised (pleasantly) that fox has committed so swiftly and surely to the sequel. I suppose they were all in from the get-go. man....this is good fu*king news. i cannot wait to see what happens next. Noomi and michael were fantastic together! very happy to see that they have signed on (imo, their inclusion was a must!) So... are we CERTAIN that this news is legit? i just dont know anything about all of these tabloid magazines (is that what Hollywood reporter is?). Thanks for the info guys! As has been mentioned by others, this news begs the question...what in the world is 10.11.12?

@Svanya I would not want Cameron working on this, IMO he conpletely screwed aliens up and took it down another road, it didn't feel like the first ALIEN. Being said I wouldnt want him to do this with Prometheus..

what? That's the speculation? That because Cameron was allowed to BREAK (like TOTALLY RUIN) the Alien ethos of [url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/topic/9176]vampiric allure commandos[/url] Ridley Scott's first sci-fi film, that he'll be allowed to ruin what might be the follow-up to his last? This stinks of MUCH OVER-HYPERY on Fox's part - and look at the Audio Clip nonsense, they'll do ANYTHING to keep this film in your forebrain. For me, PARADISE should have already been filmed - THAT (and that alone) would have been the clever way out. So sad about this news.

@freeplanet: "so SAD about this news"? really? what on earth is there to be sad about? you either embrace the continued exploration of this fictional universe or you dont. if you dont like prometheus then you needn't go see the sequel. Either way, i dont see how this is sad news. You're not losing anything. -the sequel "should have ALREADY been filmed"? wow. first of all, why would think that? as has been discussed over the last month or so, none of the evidence at hand ever suggested that a sequel had been completed. Secondly, how does this impact the validity of a sequel? why would a sequel that has already been completed be inherently more valid and acceptable than one done over the next few years? I just dont understand the anger/expectation? Why not just embrace the journey (or dont...i could understand someone just ducking out now and deciding this just isnt their thing)? Scott has given us some wonderful cinematic experiences. Lets ALLOW him to tell his story and see where it takes us. This story appears to have been designed with two installments in mind. lets wait until the entire painting comes into view -so to speak- to make final judgements? maybe? anyways....its all good. not trying to be a dick. Im so excited!!!!! come on 2014-15!

Joeyjoe: I think we're going to have to brace ourselves for a continuation of the same disgruntled alien fanboys that hated Prometheus, yet still went to see it 2-3 times, eagerly rushing out to buy tickets to the sequel so they can whinge about the new one online too. At no point will getting a life enter these type's mind.
