Would you watch a re-release ?

If Fox were to globally release an un-cut version of Prometheus at the cinemas, would you go and watch it? I would guess for that to happen, we would need to see some virals, which would more than probably introduce clips missing from the first release. IMO Prometheus has two audiences. One is mainstream and the other is not. I think a re-release would demonstrate the popularity of the film and prove how well informed people are about it. If it were to be re-released un-cut, and took about 2/3rds more the amount from being first released, then would'nt that count it as a very successful movie ?

Yup, saw it twice in IMAX 3D and I would go see it again, even the theatrical cut.

sure id go see it again. having said that, i feel like the theatrical release was deftly cut. havent seen anything in the deleted scenes so far that couldnt be inferred from the theatrical release. in fact, some of the deleted scenes would, in my opinion, make the film worse should they be cut back in. I feel like 2 maybe 3 of the cut sequences would add to the whole gestalt. Im glad the rest were cut. either way...id go see the thing again because im very happy with prometheus in general. Id like to see a couple of the deleted scenes eventually added back into the film. looking forward to the blu ray!

I doubt I'd go see the re-release, however if they had a directors cut, I'd go. Ridley Scott had a directors cut of his movie Kingdom of Heaven which I thought was far better than the theater release of the movie.... The directors cut was about 40 minutes longer than the original
I should reach the frontier in about 6 weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo....

I saw it three times on regular and twice on Imax 3D-you can bet, I'll see it again, though, I sure would love to see the director's cut. Actually, I was going to see it, once more, in Imax but it's theatrical run had done, here, in San Francisco bay area.

I'd definitely go see it again. I only saw it once in 2D, and even if that was all I could do again I'd do it, just to have the immersive experience and incredible audio/ music thundering away! That said, I'd jump at the chance to see it in Imax 3D. And I'd bring numerous people who didn't get to see it the first time and have had to listen to me and my family go on and on about it ever since.

I may do.... But only if its not on DVD or Blu-Ray... if we do see a extended cut out on DVD/Blu-Ray prior to them showing it on the Big Screen i would not bother. The thing to remember is that there is so so many different cuts they could make and i expect like Blade Runner Fox will Milk us with many variants of the Movie.

Yes, only if it was Ridley's cut.

I agree that it'd have to be the Ridley R-rated Submission Cut version running at 02:30:00. I know there's a Weyland Investors Extended Cut (02:20:00 ish) streaming this Saturday, but I've decided that it's not really for me. As far as I'm concerned the Deleted Scenes (in their full form as to be added back into the W.I.E.C.) might just be too much without adding enough of what I was really looking for in the Restoration Version that Scott initially submitted to Fox i.e. ANSWERS to who what where when why and a possible Prometheus: Paradise teaser clip. Having watched ALL THE DELETED SCENES on the net in various forms over the last few weeks, I sorta get the idea that the theatrical cut was the 'best you could have done with the material' and it added a slice of mystery to the Engineers lost in all the cut scenes' over-exposition.
