Favorite ship?

yeah, its shape is just really cool and its white stands out against the dark grey of the nostromo. oh and really? only one response so far? that's kind of lame lol

I have to agree with Ncc.. I love the look of Narcissus but I would mostly like to ride in the dropship from Aliens!! Ferro: [as dropship enters atmosphere] We're in the pipe, five by five. I made a thread about this, but a long time ago and it's hard to find (even with the search function) My favorites must be the narcissus and the nostromo. The sulaco's design was cool but it felt too natural and usual, while the nostromo's design was really bizarre. The prometheus was amazing too. I would rank them this way: 1-Narcissus 2-Nostromo 3-Prometheus 4-Aliens' dropship 5-Sulaco 6-Auriga 7-Betty

Also, we're forgetting the derelict...that has to be my favorite by far...its biomechanical visual is just amazing. The scene in Alien where it is explored is incredibly dark and omnious...

@tankgirl › i really like the drop ship too, but its value goes down for me because i love the syd mead original concept so much more lol even though i guess they made the right choice, the James Cameron drop ship does go better with the "Vietnam" vibe of the marines. The derelict from alien!

^^ Agreed! Giger's tortured brain gave us something never seen before in any kind of spaceship design. Its general shape is undoubtedly influenced by the Xenomorph, yet great mystery remains as to the nature of some of its weird appendages.

Juggernaut, or the Sacrificial Engineer's ship in the opening scene of Prometheus!

juggernaut i still cant work out its shape in some ways its like a claddagh ring almost like two arms one holding a bottle or a hammer the other an open palm then i look again and see i dunno squidy embryonic xenos or something its confusing and beautiful! sort of torque shaped too....

sigh.... see i almost want to not count the derelict now because i didnt have it in mind when making this thread, and so now everyone is going to pick it lol but i guess i cant, it is a ship, and it is part of alien.

I would vote for the derelict Juggernaut in the original Alien movie. It introduces an alien ship to everyone and set up mysteries that we are still discussing now. Everythiong about the ship was mysterious with the crew and audience not knowing what to expect or how to explain the evidence. For a flying ship I would say Prometheus
