MemberFacehuggerJanuary 23, 2013OK, when I came across this trailer. My first thought was, ‘Are we having a laugh?’
Then I thought, talk about wanting to be still part of the franchise.
I am not saying any more apart from ‘Are you really allowed to do this ?’, cos the title of this thread says it all.

That's very interesting to say the least.
Prometheus is in many ways a pastiche and borrows images and sounds from many sources but nothing exactly the same and certainly, you would think, not from a movie released after it.
That trailer vid sounds like straight plagiarism to me. Will we here more of this? Fox has so far been very protective of Prometheus.

Wow .... the soundtrack sounds remarkably familiar.

I had not seen the Prometheus trailer very often but the storyline certainly contained elements of our movie. That would upset me more..
The use of the Prometheus soundtrack could be considered a compliment

Lance Hendricksson is in that!!!! *cries* . He has been, sadly, in a few movies that are from a certain company that copies known movies so i'm assuming this is the same people. But yeah, soundtracks often get copied from film to film, look how many imitate the Inception horn, Pacific Rim is the latest of a long line to do that. What is a bit more devious here is they say they received a signal from an alien race, A Derelict ship, which is very similar to Prometheus and Alien.
I did a little more research and yeah it's definitely a knockoff of the Alien and Prometheus movies, here is the synopsis;
"Lisa Morgan is an ex-homeland security agent and highly competent martial artist who gets drawn into the nefarious plans of the egomaniacal Colonel Cencula. He runs a top secret research facility, buried in an extinct volcano on an uncharted tropical island. Cencula plans to use alien technology to build an army of drone soldiers. Morgan becomes an unwitting accomplice to the rogue Colonel’s plans until she discovers the true nature of the research. She must stop him from succeeding at all cost."

The company I initially thought was to blame here is called:
Global Asylum, The
They recently got sued by the makers of The Hobbit for plagerism.
They have copied many movies like AVP- They named their copy "Alien Vs Hunter" and Snakes on a Plane- They named their copy "Snakes on a train".

A warning flag went up on this film when i read the budget was around $1.5 million. That seems way low to me compared to just an average movie let alone a action/SciFi release.

You would think Lance would command 1.5 mil as his salary. The actors must be working on a percentage basis which, by the looks of the trailer may not amount to much.

@OldGuy; Lance can't get much A list work in Hollywood much less command millions as a salary, which is why he resorts to these lowbudget/ B movies. It happens to a lot of actors, no matter how much we like them, Hollywood may not. He does a lot of voice acting for video games though, like "Mass Effect". He's even going to voice Bishop in the new "Aliens: Colonial Marines" game coming out soon. :)
