Not an Invitation- a warning

I've been thinking a lot about the idea of 2 different sects of Engineer. I think I am finally ready to accept this, as there is a lot of evidence to support the theory. (Cloaks vs body armour, different ships, etc) It always seemed so strange that the cave drawings would be an invitation to this barren moon, or even the home world. I feel it's much more likely that the cave paintings were more of a warning from the peaceful sect (our creators) about the others. (Who hate us and apparently love to destroy) Like "stay away from these crazy f**kers, they don't play we'll with others- NEVER GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, THEY WILL KILL YOU ALL!" Insert cool metaphor about a "War In Heaven"

I agree. I watched it again last night & due to editing, it really seems to be the Shaw & David Story. Here's to the hope that P2 is The Engineer Story!

Well the differences could be due to time as far as the difference in Engineers Ships and how they look, remember the opening scene could been from Millions of Years ago and a long long time before they created the Juggernauts. I would think maybe their race came across something that they used their Tech on to re-engineer and borrow the Bio Mech from, something that latter ended up back firing against them. As far as the movie goes i would say it looks either like a Invitation or just the Engineers saying this is where we come from, but not actually thinking we would Advance to a level we would reach them. But then if it points to LV 223 and that being a Military base well its trap then? Well maybe not, maybe it was set to be a Paradise for us and a place where the Engineers would build monuments for us to Worship them and also see where we came from. But once we upset them, or once the Engineers broke into fractions they then decided to change this Watchers Outpost into a place to make and test a Weapon that would ultimately be used to wipe us out. As far as Alien goes, it would appear that the Space Jockey was transporting a Cargo of Eggs when the Cargo got compromised and then the Space Jockey set a Warning to his other Engineers about the compromised Cargo.

IMO Prometheus should've focused more on the drawings and exploration of the paintings. When Shaw and Holloway found the painting it peak my interest a whole lot! Prometheus should've ended with the crew making it's way to LV223 or whatever the name was. Perhaps they can show flashbacks in the sequel about how they came to the conclusion of visiting that moon planet.
