@Svanya. I read the original Lindelof script that was posted on here. This one is different, there are a lot of things in this one, that weren't in the other one? Are you sure it's real?

Lol oduodu getting all excited but svanya is right. And allot of what you point out was already apparent like vickers choosing idiots and the drug taking. And tons of it never made it to the film. This wont change anyone's opinion as far as I see -not read it all yet tho I guess -that david part with the green goo should of been in the film!

Svanya Why does it say paradise script if it was intended for prometheus ?? By authentic I understood it meant it was actually written by lindeloff (and not a fakeay BUT That It was not the prometheus script basically with just more info to explain the decisions of the crew and what david knew. Anyways I respectfully acknowledge i should should have read but there was no hype around the revelations . This really explains a lot. This probably explains why chris unstickied the polthole question and answer thread.

That script is the real and confirmed one, the one labeled Paradide Necronom is correct this is different. Let us look at the second one more thoroughly, I thought it was the confirmed script that you linked because Chris didn't say otherwise, let staff confirm where this is from as best we can (xeno_alpha_07 is reading it through as we speak). :D From what I have read so far and what other staff is telling me, it's not real BUT we could be wrong. The script I linked is real though, it's been confirmed.

Wait, is this an actual script or fake? I am a little skeptical because they are making a reference to Jesus. I am not sure it is the real script because Scott's crew would be saying that Jesus was not the son of God. Which would anger a lot viewers who are religious. It could be the real script however. Could someone please let me know?

If it's a fake, it's a shame! I really enjoyed reading it. It connects a lot of the dots nicely. I could really go with the engineers worshiping the original Giger Alien and trying to re-create it's blood. Also, when David opens up the ampule and pulls out the string of green bulbs, I could see what the green crystal on the altar was. It contained the DNA of the original Giger Alien. Maybe it's just one draft of many? But with it being labelled has draft 17, i'm very sceptical. Does anybody know how many drafts he did?

We don't know how many drafts Mister Lindelof wrote, übt we also don't know how many were published by him or by somebody Else... http://www.prometheus2-movie.com/uploas/ On this Site you can See the files wich wer uploaded. I dont know if there are Fan Uploads, But the Skript wich was written by Mister lindelof is on the site next to the Script i found. I think that more than one real Skripts were Published.

I have read Lindeloffs draft and now read the linked one here... And while it makes some sense and answers questions it answers them far to much and its not ambiguous and Lindeloffs work. Yes it features longer Engineer dialect and the Sacrificial Dialect which the movie did have as cast members said they had to learn Engineer Dialect. But this movies Engineer scenes and translations of their writings are all a bit to much linked to the Bible etc. There are also a number of conflicting parts that i dont think Lindeloff would have made... Myself i think someone has taken Lindeloffs draft, they have then took some deleted and alternative scenes we know about but have never seen... i.e Sacrificial Dialect, longer David and Engineer conversation, the comments from Ridley about a connection between the Engineers and the Deacon and Worship and the whole 2000 year ago, upset Engineers as they killed one of there emissaries etc. The shots of Engineer running from Juggernaut to lifeboat, the Engineer reading the Book found in Vickers quarters (Bible?). The scenes we saw in trailers inc Prometheus has landed quote, the Mercs shooting Fifield while Weyland is making his way to the APV.... The deleted scenes in Full Engineer vs Shaw and the Paradise one... To me someone has got the script of Lindoffs and added bits to fit those scenes in... There are a number of inconsistencies.... Such as trying to explain that the Ghost Engineers when David activated the Orrey Control room, was talking about the Space Jockey on LV 426, that he got infected by the seeders from Cargo 2... This latter also linked as David says when Weyland and co head to wake up the Engineer, and walk past the Cargo Hold, that the Cargo hold is the result of recreate but failed attempt to remake the Deacon Lords Blood, and that under the Orrey room is another Cargo Hold that is where they store the failed attempt to clone the Deacon. This is trying to imply that the Juggernaut and Derelict had two cargo holds, one for Urns and another for Eggs. And that the script names the planet as Archeaon and labels moons LV 133, LV 223 and LV 426... Sorry but i cant see these parts written by Lindeloff... And Smoking Gun............ The description of the Engineer after the crash, showing that he got burnt on his face during the crash, which the theatrical movie kind of hints to.... But if you have seen the shots of the Engineer leaving his pilot chair and running across LV223 surface, and the full scene of when the Engineers comes onto the lifeboat and finds Shaw and picks her up and the shot of him reading the book on floor.... These shot scenes the Engineer has no Burn mark.... In fact if you watch the Trillobite scene and before where the Engineer prizes open the 2nd airlock door, The Engineer has no burn marks... Apart from when the Triillobite first grabs him.... in which it then disappears and then the part where the beast finally wins the battle and inserts its tube down the Engineers throat where the Burn comes back... surely if they are following the script then those other shot scenes he would have the burn face.... nope the Burn came from a not shown shot where the Engineer got it from the Trillobite most likely as he tried to bite a tentacle in order as last attempt to get free... Shame as most of the script does work well, but it was a bit to Bible focused and had lots of errors that dont fit with the franchise and also some of the scenes shot. So i feel what we have is Lindeloffs draft that some fan has added some parts to in a attempt to join some of the dots.

@Necronom 4 If you look at the trailer the Green Orb was replaced by the Sacrificial Bowl... This draft 17 has inconsistencies with the whole recreate blood angle... Before i read it, my view on Prometheus was that they was trying to re weaponize the Xeno Bio Weapon and the Deacon represented a Sacrifice like the Sacrificial Engineer, hence the Bowl on the Altar. The Sacrificial Engineer via Bowl contents broke down into a compound that formed with basic life and mutated it and caused it to evolve and carry on Engineer traits.... Thus some organism was Sacrificed via same method only resulting broken down compound was collected and stored into the Urns.. If this was not the case, then another idea i had is that they worshiped some Organism related to the Xeno, that allowed at some point the Engineers who could no long reproduce apart from using the Sacrificial Goo. That one of them got face hugged by a ancestor or descendant of the Xeno and this Engineer then gave birth to a Deacon.... This giving birth, was viewed as a miracle by the Engineers as they had lost the ability to give birth and thats why they tried to seed mankind to procreate and start a new species of Engineers.. mankind. So they worshiped the Xeno Life Cycle as it allowed them to give birth to something new, and they attempted to experiment and maybe clone or mix the Organism with the Sacrificial Goo to disastrous consequences. ------------------------------------------ Now when i read this draft 17, some of it fitted to what i had read into from the clues... i thought wow i was not that far off then... Until i read deeper... You see this draft suggests that the Deacon they came across at a time when the Engineers could still reproduce, but then it also says that the Deacons blood saved their kind as it allowed them to seed their genetics via this Deacon that is their Lords blood... So the Deacon is their lord. but they was not created by it, it is just something they worshiped as a result of the Deacon being born via Chest Busted from a Engineer ages ago.... which was a surprise to them as they lost the ability to reproduce... But then they came across it while they still could? Then how did they find out that its blood could seed their DNA? And why do that if they could still reproduce at that time..? Sorry does not add up at all....

Yeah I know but that suggests to me that the green crystal and the sacrificial cup, both contain the remnants of the lifeform they worship. They both represent the same thing. Them trying to recreate the blood of their lord, leads to them creating something different. It would explain why the "Deacon" is different in design to the Giger Alien. The impression that I got from reading this script is that they discovered the Giger Aliens at a time when they could still reproduce by natural means themselves. It doesn't mean that they used it to reproduce whilst they could still reproduce themselves. To me it means that, they discovered it, knew of it's existence, then when they had lost the ability to reproduce, they went back to it to harness its reproductive capabilities. "So the Deacon is their lord. but they was not created by it, it is just something they worshiped as a result of the Deacon being born via Chest Busted from a Engineer ages ago...." I would assume that they would worship it because it is the perfect lifeform. Maybe they are striving for perfection themselves?

Yeah i am not saying the scripts ideas are not bad, i think tone it down a bit in some areas i.e its a bit too less Ambiguous, then you got a good story. I do like the (use of Lords Blood) concept and how they tried to recreate it but failed and created something else, i think its a nice idea. However i do think that these parts added are not Lindeloffs work, i feel its some fan that has added some to Lindeloffs work. But guess only way would be if some one could contact and confirm this script was 100% Lindeloffs or that it was indeed modified. Maybe Chris or some other long time high ranking member could confirm that for us, i know the Paradise final draft was confirmed but to me this script seem like that one thats been added to.

Even if this fake I would love it if the person who made this would come forward and tell uis who he is - or she for that matter because it is still imho very well done. And also how many scropts did lindeloff write after being given spaihts original draft. That's a very good qiestion.

I know what you mean @BigDave. It doesn't feel like it would be written by a writer of Lindelofs calibre and there are a lot of mistakes in grammar. BUT, it does answer a lot of the questions posed by Prometheus in a way that is believable. Maybe it was a quick pitch sort of thing, where Ridley's told him to do a re-write (FAST) that elaborated more on what he was trying to say. @Oduodu; "Even if this fake I would love it if the person who made this would come forward and tell uis who he is - or she for that matter because it is still imho very well done." I agree. But then again, I wouldn't know whether to congratulate him/her on their work, or ****************** for wasting our time!

Necronom4 Yes good point !!! LOL Bigdave In my heart I do feel that there may be a script about that may be closer to this one. But as youi say the it is too unambiguous. I wonder if the prometheus haters would have accepted this as a movie ? If the people who dislike p1 can only tell what exactly they wanted from prometheus ? How should the story have been told and what story wiuld. Have been acceptable ???. What however is great about this the following: Who exactly did vickers hire ?? Apparently nobody has read it, because nobody started a discussion or whatever. Actually it just could be uploaded by an administrator. "HOLLOWAY For such a nice Catholic girl, you sure take the Lord’s name in vain a lot." So yes i think the Draft 17 is a edited one, but yes it explains some parts but i think it still need some tidy up and some parts dropped and other toned down. In fact i may take some parts that this person added and may even post when i get time what i would have put... Such as the Engineers in the Orrey Room.. THREE HOLOGRAPHIC ENGINEERS; WITHOUT HELMETS, ENTER THE ORRERY AND WALK UP ON THE PLATFORM AND START SPEAKING TO ONE ANOTHER. Now this scene they give to much connection and detail as to what happened on LV 426.

I would of thought that would more likely be the black goo literally being a type of blood from a god like being that they have encountered. Maybe one that created them and is possibly not alive any more or so they think muhahahahar... And I think you'll find most haters just wanted things to seem realistic like maybe Holloway taking his helmet off and then everyone say f**k off im keeping mine on and holloway dieing a few minutes later from one of the many things that never came up on the scan that said everything was safe!! Or something similar if u catch my drift. ..

The thing i liked about the Draft 17 was the flow of the Script it all added up and flowed well, but then Lindeloffs also flowed better than the movie. To me the cut we had appeared to had been edited in a way that some parts was as if the movie had been cut into peices and then reassembled with some scenes in the wrong order, something just seemed odd and missing.... The deleted scenes when seen, and then other parts from trailers like Shaw running Fifield over and Weyland in the hanger with his Mercs shooting Fifield, if we took these scenes into account and then logically fitted them into the movie where they seem to go in order, makes for a script that is for many parts like the Draft 17.
