Firefly in the same universe as prometheus ?

They also mention about Weyland Yutani in the episode "Harm's Way" in the series "Angel". I think its just an inside joke from creator Joss Whedon. He did write the script for "Alien Resurrection" so who knows, I still think it's an inside joke though and that he just mentions it because he wrote an Alien movie.

Nah, I am pretty sure he just mentions it for fun because he wrote an Alien movie (Resurrection).

Svanya Xeno alpha I have always wanted to ask this question: how does joss whedon stack up as a director. Given that a4 isn't held in the highest regard I have never been sure if I shoiuild ask. I have always loved buffy - angel - and firefly. How good a director is joss whedon ?

He didn't direct Alien Resurrection, he wrote it. From what I remember, it was supposed to be a funny script, very tongue in cheek like "Buffy", but the director messed the script up badly, didn't understand the humor. Never seen Firefly or its movie Serenity (sounds like a feminine product to me) but I agree with Svanya its just an inside joke.
