MemberOvomorphOct-23-2013 6:43 AMI ask this because:
* In Alien Ash said the atmosphere was almost 'primordial'.
* The engineers ( an über-ancient species) have a xenomorph-wallpaper.
* The eggs in Alien were still 'alive' (remember that the SJ was fossilized?)
What if the xenomorphs were the first multi-cellurar organism in the universe? That they are older than planet Earth itself( this seems logical)? I would be so proud of my favourite fictional critter! What do you people think?
To me it makes sense: acid for blood, a tough exoskeleton, no eyes ( because they would be damaged by cosmic radiation if there wasn't any atmosphere), enough claws and teeth to defend itself against the most vicious predators, hypersensitive senses and instinct... the ultimate killing machine...destroyer of civilisations.

MemberFacehuggerOct-30-2013 2:07 PMThats why in part 2 they gotta either explain why they all acted like they were on crystal meth :p or just dump part one and take a new route. I mean for instance there could be a god like being messing with them all. Maybe its trapped behind the big mural door and needs them all to get infected or is on the engineers home world and basically wanted shaw n david only to come get it out of its prison. Mind control! :p
"It's almost as if they are making it up as they go along" :D

MemberOvomorphOct-30-2013 4:46 PMYeah Djamelameziane, some THING that even scares the living shit out of the engineers, that would be awesome!
Thanks for the kind comment Golden Gear!

Indeed i agree with most of that, the Characters was well out of Character.... i can buy Fifield being bit of jerk.... to a degree Milburn being maybe to over excited but when faced with a Alien organism never seen before you can not assume its like a snake from Earth i mean it could be way harmless than a Cobra but it could also be vastly more deadlier than any snake on Earth.
Steve Irwin acted a lot like Milburn but you would expect him to be cautious if he came across a Alien Snake, or even a cute fluffy space monkey lol As you just dont know what hostile bacteria it could carry etc.
Janek again some scenes, he never seemed bothered about members of his crew and was more interesting in trying to get into bed with Vickers.
Then other comments you made, yes there was a lot of cheesy and not well done parts as far as Characters go...
Aliens Character use for me was flawless, just like other old movies like John Carpenters The Thing! both movies added suspense and tense atmosphere.

MemberDeaconOct-31-2013 6:07 AMBack to the Topic however...
And i would not think the Xeno is the oldest thing in the Universe but i think its much older than any 2000 year plus Experiment those Engineers were conducting on LV 223.
Questions is i feel they came across the Xeno and Bio Tech after the Sacrefice Scene... but Ridley said the Derelict Tech is Millions of years old so i would say the Engineer and Xeno connection is Millions of years old...
But we cant say if the Xeno has been around for vastly longer than that, that would depend if it was a creation of the Engineers or their creators or it was or its predecessor a ancient indigenous organism the Engineers encounter on some planet they came across..
So i assume....
The Xeno is not the oldest thing in the universe, not by a long shot... but its certainly older than thousands and thousands of years old.
So i would say it is Millions of Years old... or has had Millions of years of Evolution and maybe aided Evolution.
Thus maybe its original form is not create by the Engineers but either could have been Evolved by them... or the Engineer may even had Evolved due to stealing from Xeno Tech and Genome.
