Predator appearance in Prometheus?!?!?

MemberFacehuggerFebruary 21, 2017I recently watched Prometheus for the billionth time (lol) and I noticed that the lights from the predators are in Prometheus (around 1:09:00 in the film... I watch movies on free movie sites IDK). It takes place when Prometheus losses contact with Milburn and Fifield and then the whole team goes back into the ship. Maybe this is what engineers are running from?! I don't know... but what do you guys think?
That's actually called a lens flare. A moment later you see the "laser" move away. The flare is from the 3 lights in his flashlight.
And the Engineers weren't running from predators since Ridley Scott dislikes AVP and doesn't want predators in alien universe.

But seriously yes it was a lenses flair
Ridley has no Problem with Predators... he just never saw the point in Merging the Franchises, he thought it was a silly idea and this would be regardless if AVP was a much better movie.
Ridley strongly believes that the two should remain separate.
I do wander if they would explain the written language on the Urns is different to the Engineers on there Doors/Architecture and Technology.

I mean you guys are probably correct, but wouldn't they remove it though before publishing it?
Why? As has been said - it's a lens flare. Janek's torch has three globes in it, which is what creates it. Lens flares are very common in movies, created by light entering the lens of a camera.
Alex Thomson (DP on Alien3) doesn't like them because they give away that you're viewing the story through a camera. But someone like JJ Abrams likes them so much he digitally adds them.
@S.M IK, but if Ridley would think that the Predator crossing over into the franchise is silly (which he does) why couldn't they just edit that out??
Because it's a lens flare, and there's no point in editing it out.
There's long horizontal lens flares in Alien from the torches they used. Should he have cut them because they looked a little bit like lightsabers?
@S.M I get your point, but its really REALLY coincidental in this case thanks to AVP. My point is more people could think 'why did they put the predator in Prometheus?' And then criticize it some more, trust me it has gotten a lot of criticism.
No, it hasn't. The movie's been out nearly five years and 99% of the audience didn't twig one second's worth of a triple lens flare.
Considering the complete absence of Predators in the film - and Aliens - why would anyone care even if they did notice?
Is that a face on the urn, right side level with the 10 on the ruler?
looks like one of those masks that represents happiness in theatre production circles.
Omg that is a face Lol @ali81 @Starlogger @airshaft_surprise
that is creepy as hell
