Does the hologram show Dr. Elizabeth Shaw's death?

Sorry but there is no tail or tentacle.

What we see is Shaw's right arm.

We can see her back on the right side of the picture and the left side there are her face and her arm.

hola everybody, just a quick question, one thing that looks contradictory about E.Shaw piloting the ship to paradise is that if she is not in cryopod, as human, wouldn´t she get older or even die before arrive there ? how long in terms of distance is the prometheus planet from paradise?
or even if paradise was very near just around the corner, how she could survive a short or long trip in terms of food etc, perhaps david is masterchef, but without body, and if she's piloting the ship, that means that until that moment davids body is not restored yet to make sure that he doesn't make bad things, but he teaches her how to manage the engineer technology ?
besides that, according to the mentioned reports of the visitors to the film set, they said that there was a cabin where shaw was living, and probably protecting herself about david creations or something, so what means that ?
does she survive to the crash of the ship and shared some time afterwards with david?
or what do you think guys about it ?

Hi dk. Very, very good explanation on the cost cutting measures by the Engineers with the third party having to construct the urns if you spend too much on flute technology. I bet the Engineers have a bid process that is impressive. I'm still laughing.

On a serious note, you can't have a better debate than above. Orthoptera73, I still believe Dr. Shaw was more than willing to wipe out the Engineers with David 8. As you can see from above, none know for sure. 

Goddamn Tropics in here, I accidentally started another "who is the chest buster victim in the dark" debate with a hologram feedback. I'm back and forth on a tail present or not. The set up (on the questionable segment) with the cut out and the music keeps me changing back and forth in between a tail to a chair in the hologram.

This is actually the most truthful statement above because we're all debating hologram fuzziness.

I have checked all Hologram shots frame by frame and yes some it could like she has a SJ Mask on, some she looks like a Predator and some before and after just a Human and so Logically we have to ASSUME it is merely Shaw in the Chair with no Helmet on.

The Hologram Tail/Tentacle thing i think its just the chair being lighted up and i would be 98% certain this is the case.

As for what she is doing on the Ship, it leaves us with a few possible outcomes as she is not in Cryo-sleep here.

1) David showed her how to fly the Ship so this means.

a) Did she fly it from LV-223

b) Was she attempting to leave Paradise

c) Did she work with David to Drop the Payload

2) Or David did not show her how to fly the ship, she either witnessed how he activated it.

a) So this Scene shows her maybe attempting to leave Paradise before David prevents her and causes the crash.

b) She realizes what David is up to and David has the Control Panel Activated and she attempts to control the ship to prevent David from doing what he is doing, which causes the crash.

However for Option 2 i think it would be odd to why she would be singing to that Song..... whats more interesting is as my Topic Here 

Which is how come it appears this song is being played on a Record Player on a Ship that is not the Covenants Drop Ship.

As far as the Question how far away is Paradise, we simply cant be sure, however as Prometheus showed us the Engineers Hologram Navigation included multiple Galaxies then we can safely assume they can travel VAST distances in short spaces of time and so we can SAFELY ASSUME the Engineer Ships can Travel to Paradise much much faster than the Covenant which would have taken at most 6 years

I think its the evolved Deacon from prometheus. The host of the Deacon was that giant facehugger with tentacles. It followed David and Shaw to the juggernaut and went with them to paradise.

in the still you posted on your thread, shaw seemed to be screaming with her head looking up.

on another note, the holograms look the way they do because perhaps it has organic matter to it? We know engineers love everything organic. It was never explain what the green substance was and we can see it again when they press the ship's buttons. Its even in the holograms.

Goddamn Tropics in here The reason I lean toward a spike/tail is there is a distinct drum sound when it appears. Seems like an audio clue for emphasis "HEY- DON'T MISS THIS!"

DK - I do see what you mean and at at the moment I'm leaning towards something sinister in lieu of the chair, I think we should run a book and whoever gets it right in May wins a prize?

These holograms could end up being the only thing we see of Shaw in AC, I hope not....

yes, she is flying the ship or about to....then gets in cryo and wakes up at the end of the movie.

Remember the engineer hologram and david activating the control console? They use a flute. Perhaps the ship is activated by sound, hence shaw singing whilst using the ship. 

Also note that shaw must be activating a ship function, not piloting it as the pilot seat is in the middle.

shaw could be the one who drops the bombs while david confirms they are all in the right place.

After the potential reveal about David goo bombing the Engineers or Engineer-esque beings and his supposed monologue about his hatred of Humans it got me thinking about Shaw's role after seeing the trailer. Given that David knew a lot about their agenda and Shaw had her naiveties about the Engineers debased during Prometheus I think it's highly possible she could have assisted him in an attack... especially if he convinced her they posed a greater threat to us which could drive her co-distate of them. 

Another potential factor for why there appears to be a sudden burst of energy in the holographic recording could be as many here have speculated an energy weapon fired at the ship whilst the goo bombs were going off. 

It is also possible that David is indeed correct, the Engineers are really out to destroy Earth.
