If BigDave can't translate the words in the image, we need a linguist. :) If you are a linguist, please help.
Alien Covenant
'The production team carried over the engineer alphabet created for Prometheus. All the hieroglyphics actually say something, but it might be rather difficult to decode since not all the translations are in English.'

Hey Guest, want to add your say?

Here is something maybe more easier to Translate.
From Two different Set pieces but (A) appears to be the same as the two lines i have highlighted in green in the larger more clearer image.

R.I.P Sox 01/01/2006 - 11/10/2017

teamorteson - joining?
nostesofili - father and son?
Language of first line unknown.Second line reeks of latin

Not all of the Prometheus ones make sense, the Covenant ones however, I believe they do.. I got "ITEAMORTESON NOSTESOFILI" from the bottom image, I believe it says something about items or objects and death

This seems to add up, and its from the Prometheus Blu-ray

I which case i make it ITEAMORTESON and NOSTESOFILI
No idea what they translate too, i think it depends if they are consider one word or words without spaces... say like
"ILIKEDIT" I liked it etc
Wonder if any of this translates via Ancient Greek or Latin?
R.I.P Sox 01/01/2006 - 11/10/2017

NOSTESOFILI i am not sure of.. But indeed
NOSTES (Caps) in Latin = Our
nostes (non caps) in Latin = The Enemy
Ofi = Off
Fili = Son
If we use FILI (caps) we get FILI.
If we assume we need to use none came then i think that NOSTESOFILI means Enemy of the Son or Our Son

If anyone wants to super nerd out
I believe the section on lengthenings and suffixes answers some of the above questions on where the latinic stuff starts and ends. This is above my leisure pay grade, as most of the stills from AC are blurry or small.
The linguist in me frickin enjoys this challenge, though.

I'm guessing both, I would have to ask my step father and his friend next time I sew them, he is Italian and his friend Greek, Google ain't helping much

I know it's from Prometheus, that's what I use when "translating" Mala'kak, what I meant is that the Prometheus writings/murals didn't make much sense, some of them even used symbols that weren't even in the alphabet.

Whenever I want to write something in Mala'kak I literally translate what I want to say to PIE and use the Prometheus alphabet

You are awesome.
This still is from the new prologue 'The Crossing' showing Shaw in the cryo chamber:

Cryo is confusing, tried to use the excess dots to create letters in the "engineer" alphabet file.
FUFYX - FYX is fix in greek
HHWRAAK - wraak is revenge in dutch
RIAGOCDET - RIAG is cut in Hmong
CVLLVDEK - CVLL could be CULL, VDEK is dead in albanian
This isn't a mirror image or anything right? Some stuff is backwards form of pictos.
Maybe their cryopods also repair (Fix) as well as sustain life?
Perhaps the "fix"ing part of the mechanism turns her into a monster and that's why David bombs them all, lol
Anyone think the elder engineers at the start of prometheus may be long dead, and that scene happened millenia ago? I think the engineers on lv223 were bioengineered to survive in space, drop the payload, and possibly capture the results, then come home and drop the mutated creatures into the pit for the masses. in the crossing trailer i cant help but wonder why the crowd cheer (assuming its not a red herring)

IASU - Don't over complicate it. Look at it from a technical perspective. Each word or phrase is going to be broken down into a function of the cryopod. Think in single words. Repair, Maintain, Wake, Dampen, etc.

IllegalASU --- I think that's not a mirror image.
The words you gave seem to be OK more or less, their possible meaning can be:
FIX = CLOSE/START
CUT = OPEN/FINISH
DEAD = SLEEP MODE

That is an interesting question Babylonxeno, why were the engineers cheering?
TheXenoneoprotomorph - Thank you for your help you mentioned previously.
Tonehound - I'm looking forward to your wife's help. :) Thx!

I couldn't resist a bit of light-heared humor, and when I wrote my take on the translation, well, with 9 Cats all staring at you and beinging The Meowing for supper...it gets into your head. :D
Seriously, I truly applaud the work they went into in creating the Engineer language, and the efforts here among my fellow forum members in translating it!!
IN SPACE THERE IS NO WARNING

Indeed some of them do seem like a Mirrored Image, some also dont seem to be anything on the alphabet.
I cant get any matches in Latin..
R.I.P Sox 01/01/2006 - 11/10/2017

As far as the Engineers Cheering this will come down to 2 likely explanations.
1) The way we would (especially in WW2) gather along the docks/harbors to welcome our War Hero's back from War/Conflict i.e Tour of Duty. And Cheer our Service Personnel on to welcome them back.
2) To gather to await the arrival/return of a important Religious Figure or Leader/King. Much like on Earth when the Pope or Queen Visits other Countries.
R.I.P Sox 01/01/2006 - 11/10/2017
Or, Dave, after 2000 years here and now on Earth we are waiting for Jesus, a kind of parallel, I think.

Have just found more inscriptions on the step faces. I wonder if there's a common thread in any of these that could help piece them together … ?

QVI EWEP- Who (latin) removed (igbor)
NETHEA - if (a)nathea) is Anathema is Greek

I tried fervently to do the prometheus wall.
Using possible abbreviations didn't really get me anywhere either. I did notice though, that there is some sort of sentence marker made of "non-engineer" markings.
Here are my limited possible results, reading the top as the far left, and the large section as the right. This is assuming they read right to left like us:
[DGYRRH]IOB[GDUA][ABO]
(Dugout) (Cave) (To)
IEBE MTDOTSH. EBCIU
[SEF]RG BHQIPON [RRID][RYKS]
(Head) (I want)(Kingdom)
GBF WNYRIQHIFGUY
GNVWGY(Sentence Marker)Y
i translated the BOTTOM row of the opening i think.
life and death
we dont see the L in the pic it is hidden.
so i had:
I F E - i thought "if" something
i only had the pic to go off so it was a struggle but im happy with it.
i have some of the top row but i need more time
hope this was of help
i like the look of the cryo chamber that shouldnt be too bad its so much more clear than the opening.
ill do that next
Take This.... This is the blood of our lord
could be something like:
teach me (top line. above "life and death")
but im not happy with it yet
ill keep trying
Take This.... This is the blood of our lord
for the 2 rows of text on the opening:
bottom line: life and death (i think its repeated around the opening but im not certain of that pics not clear enough)
top line: probably only 12 - 15 characters so it matches
__them me ? it is incomplete
teach me ?
i could not get to a conclusion i was happy with for the top row. but im happy that it says "life and death" on the bootom row reading around the opening (possibly repeated to make the letters meet)
Take This.... This is the blood of our lord

Which one of the texts/alphabets reviously posted are you guys relying on for your translation … ?
Great work BTW!
im using the engineer font from this site. it was on a post i took a pic with my phone
Take This.... This is the blood of our lord

I have 4-5 of them that have been posted prior. I have enough trouble talking sensibly let alone learning and translating another language! :)

I was my job for so long that I realized how much more I like it as a hobby. Context is always essential, if available, so hopefully we can get a bit further when (if) we learn David's enlightenment about the pale arseholes, lol.
Tonehound, sherris, IllegalASU - Thank you for your work! As for the context, I think these lines are quotes or they are taken from poems created by Engineers/the Planet 4 species/their gods, etc. That's why I think the lines don't deliver strict grammar rules and they're free regarding their structure.
i am going to say that the first 2 letters on the top row are hidden.
illegalaliensignedup - i see how close you were with the translation on the bottom. with your translation:
IFEANDBEAT
after about 4 hrs i realised it was missing a letter and translated:
LIFEANDDEATH
(IFEANDBEAT)very close
so if the bottom row has 1 letter missing, i think we can assume that the top row is actually missing 2
this is due to the angle of the shot.
with this in mind i will go back to the top row and see if i can come up with something, bearing in mind (probably) the first two letters of our translation are missing.
Take This.... This is the blood of our lord
