Would an Alien War movie be similar to the world created by David Demaret (Moonxels)?

Your idea is brilliant.

But I think it would be good to see a battle between WY and the Engineers and David and Xenos and a new alien species... :D

If the battle is a clever one serving the story, it would be OK!

I am in favour of a war movie.

About time too !! We need to keep this franchise moving and different types of films could keep things fresh.

Also after looking at the Weyland timeline and the editing of it i think the Colonial Marines are going to turn up in A:A

IF that film turns out to be A:A then i think it has the opportunity to lure a massive audience if it is delivered correctly.

Imagine Colonial Marines, Engineers and Xenos !!

Then throw in the Bird Faced Creatures from the mural in P.

Why not ?

We deserve to be spoilt for our loyalty.

Other Franchises do not have to wait decades for the Universe to open up. We are patient. We do NOT expect classic after classic. We are ready ATI !! ;)

Honestly i really do think that there is a good chance of getting what we are suggesting here. Fox never knew what to do with the Franchise i thought but i do believe they will hang on to it closely as it could easily become the Franchise it deserves to be.

Fox will want decades out of this and if delivered in the right way they will get it ;)

sherries, with u 100%. after Prometheus there was the potential for dozens of sequels, spinoffs and stand alone movies. if they want to milk this franchise then some doors need left open. at this moment in time a lot of people on here feel stung by the anticipation for AC and speaking for myself I just wont get sucked into that kind of hype again. if they want to remedy that then fox need to open the wallet and give ridley more free range. I def think we deserve an all out face paced, not a moment for breath movie with all involved facing off.

@ali81 "just for AVPR fox owes us big time"---lol so true.

But seriously, going to your paragraph above about Fox remedying the directions gone in A:C, and "opening their wallets" then I highly doubt we'll see them open up for Ridley again. Sad but true. Prometheus, while not understood by most of the masses and criticized because of it, was a pretty big hit and left a HUGE bunch of room for exploration. A:C on the other hand was a bombastic mess obviously overinfluenced by the "need" (?) for "Xenos". The action-oriented won out, and you see what we got. So in the long run it hurt the series more than anything due to "our" collective desire to have another "monster" movie. If it were implemented better, I can see how a wonderfully made movie based onEngineers AND xenos could've flourished. In fact, we've seen so much great fan fiction on here that would've given us such. Alas, Fox went "in house" and gave us a cooked script and told ridley to make it. Period.

So I doubt there will be any more "wallet opening" unfortunately. BUT, the segueway into "Alien" deserves something big, so maybe some private investors or passionate film financiers will provide. We shall see.

They should blow us away with a planetary Engineer conflict, perhaps on Origae-6. We get more of the engineers, get a few epic space battles, xenomorph carnage, an Ultramorph perhaps. Perhaps this encounter leads to the formation of the USCM?!

Engineers get wiped out, except for one ship that crashes on LV426.

would be an epic conclusion to the prequel trilogy

It would be great to see a final entry (or two I suppose, who knows) to Ridley's prequels that goes all out with effects, Engineers, Xenos, David, Daniels, Tennessee, and whoever else ends up getting screentime. I would give up so much to see that! Alas, it seems like Fox will continue to close the window for Scott's success. The same, or an even smaller budget, seems most likely for another film, so the species war and huge show seems to be a stretch.

One thing that could be good, is with a smaller budget, characters and a more cohesive story may be a bit more important than forcing EVERYTHING into one film. Maybe Ridley and the writers end up being forced into making a bit smaller affair, almost getting back to the way Alien had to be made.

To be clear though, I am 100% for seeing a truly EPIC CONCLUSION to the prequels that started with Prometheus

I think you are right cuponator3000 in that we are looking at a smaller budget sequel to Covenant, but my fear is that it will be a trap. They are going to need a very innovative writer to pull off a Xeno-heavy, character-driven storyline with ideas that haven't already been done in Alien and Alien3.

FOX need to ask themselves; does the franchise really need another claustrophobic suspense horror Alien film.

The answer is no.

Alien, Alien 3 and even Alien: Isolation have well and truly satisfied that scope of the Alien experience.

They really need to go Super-massive! Go epic!

With David's actions in Covenant they have an opportunity to have an almighty Engineer conflict seeking vengeance against the genocide of their people. Perhaps the faction that was pushing for the destruction of humanity in Prometheus now have the catalyst to sway the other factions into action!

It could be interesting as long as they don't bring in elements of SW and ST- lasers and time warps etc...

I think its very interesting idea, but one i am not 100% sure we may see.  Not unless we see this set in the following.

1) Future after Alien Resurrection or even many years after Aliens if they Ret-con Alien Resurrection (maybe).  Where Mankind has Managed to salvage and Reverse Engineer the Engineers Technology but eventually this Alerts the Engineers to then intervene.

2) Maybe as above but the Android AI are the ones who Master the Engineers Technology and Enslaved Mankind, and they are then off to Engineer Worlds where the Engineers then come into the FOLD.

3) If we go for a whole Android/AI vs Humans kind of Space Conflict.

As i dont think within the constraints of the current Time-Line so the year 2104-2179 that Mankind would be anywhere near enough Advanced to be dealing with Engineers Technology.

I also think while the Franchise has Huge Potential due to the Engineers Plot, i would think FOX would only ever consider a Movie that has to connect to the Xenomorph and the Xenomorph or similar related Organism/Weapons would have to  be one of the KEY Plot Elements.

But i understand this Topic is a Speculative one... and so indeed their is Potential within the Broader Franchise to bring about some Galactic Type Wars.

That could be even set in the much further reaches of our Galaxy, or in the distant past, or future...  as surely we cant assume that LV-223 is the only Engineer Related Outpost to have Advanced Engineer Technology or even Bio-Weapons.

And surely Earth is not the only World these Engineers have ever created Humanoid Life on, there could be many many other Worlds who may have became more Advanced than us, or even Managed to use and Turn the Engineers Tech Against them.

There could even be a number of different Engineer classes and Race who could be at conflict with each other, where they use Humanoid Creations like Mankind as Conscripted Military Fodder etc.

I will add that if we are speculating how such a thing could connect to the current Canon, its hard to say unless they are to reboot the Alien Sequels?  Or leave some Big Plot Devices/In-continuity Errors.

We do-not know the State of the Engineers/Hierarchy that is above them, where the Engineers fit within this, where the LV-233 Engineers fit.  We have to assume Earth is not the First or Last Place they (or factions of them) had created Humanoid Life, or indeed that Paradise/Planet 4 and LV-223 are the only other places these Engineers are involved in.

And so as with Mankind, there could be a number of different Engineer Parties with different Agendas, we could see the Return of the Engineers who come to Planet 4 and then they go off to Stop David David.... we have to Question would these guys want to also then Wipe Mankind out?

We could speculate they would want to Stop David and the Damage and Harm he has caused.... but what if some of those who intercept David etc,  come across the Xenomorph Bio Weapon and then after they succeed in stopping David, some of them decide that instead of Destroying Davids Creations they intend to take them away to Study.

THIS IS LIKELY what kind of event would lead to ALIEN

But we have to remember, any Engineers coming back to investigate Paradise/Planet 4  would also likely come across Davids Experiments and discover his Early Prototype Xenomorph Eggs, and so if the Engineers wanted Eggs, they could try and harvest them....

If they do not want the Eggs but attempt to destroy those on Paradise, there is the potential this could go very wrong for them.

Which if there are some kind of Saboteur or one of a few Engineers who have a alternate Agenda, some with such Motives could see Davids Experiments on Paradise as something they could use, to overthrow the Governing Body within their Culture.

It would be just like some peoples in our Worlds Governments come across a Weapon or something that could change the Game.... Imagine if their is a Rogue Nation who discovers Alien Technology of a Virus on Earth that they can then use to their Advantage to hold the Entire World to Ransom or use as a Weapon of Fear against the more Powerful Nations.

So the Discovery of Davids Experiments by some Engineers could make some of these Engineers maybe consider with this Weapon they could use it to Gain some kind of Power or Advantage within their whole Society and Hierarchy.

something like this would then surely Trigger a Inter Engineer Galactic War/Power Struggle for sure.
