MemberPraetorianJan-07-2018 1:17 PM'Don't mark Blade Runner 2049 as the end of the franchise just yet. Ridley Scott has plans for another Blade Runner sequel.'
'Sir Ridley Scott has confirmed that he still has a few ideas that he could turn into another film rattling around in his mind.'
Scott: "I think there is another story. I've got another one ready to evolve and be developed, so there is certainly one to be done for sure."
Considering that Blade Runner 2049 was not a box office favourite last year, Ridley Scott's words can be viewed as good news for the Alien Covenant sequel as well.

MemberNeomorphJan-11-2018 9:32 AMto me, going down the AI route just smacks of a lack of imagination for the prequels. its a lazy, easy plot that really anyone could have done. AI has a place within the franchise no doubt as 2 of the best loved characters were synthetic, sorry, 'artificial person' so it makes sense to have David. but im not watching alien coz Iv watched Blade Runner 5000 times and want more AI in my life. I watch alien because of the beast, the facehugger and the continuous efforts the company makes to get its hands on it and since Prometheus, I want to see the expanded universe teased by that film. but hey ho, Fox has obviously sent RS special order 666, stay in budget, get it made as fast as possible and make us tons of cash. all other priorities rescinded. fans and franchise expendable.

Vickers said that right before she was smashed dk.
Great news Ati. I know they are looking past the theater distribution towards streaming and Blue-Ray sales so I hope they put together a Blade Runner sequel again soon.

MemberDeaconJan-12-2018 6:48 AMAs Red0guy pointed out the Replicants are Biological Creations, they are just Engineered and not the creation of Natural Procreation.
We in Science now are Creating Humans with 3 Parents, how long before Science unlocks the ability to artificially turn a Female Egg Cell into a Fetus with no SPERM but imprinting the Genetics that a Sperm would pass onto to a Egg? While also then Manipulating Genes so we can make a Designer Baby, and remove Genetic Flaws and Manipulate it to have the Best of Human Traits, We could then be looking at Creating a Human Clone, that has the most attractive Human Characteristics, with Genetic Markers to allow it to become Physically and Mentally superior to most Humans.
ONCE we achieve something like this, that is Born without a Father but via Genetic Manipulation we would create the near Perfect Human being and in affect this would be a AI because it would not have been created Naturally.
People do seem to think AI has to mean something constructed from Synthetic Materials and a Machine/Robot but that does not have to be the case... WHY i am willing to bet the LV-223 Engineers will be revealed as a AI too.

MemberDeaconJan-12-2018 6:49 AMI dont think making BR and Alien in the same universe is a good idea, they should be kept as their own separate Franchises.
