Certainly Good Points... I was merely suggesting that these could be Explored as a Option but in all Likeliness there would have been seen as NO point because of Ripley 8 and her Queen.

Going back to a ALIEN V that does-not try and REBOOT/RETCON anything, then with Ripley 8 i guess you could TRY and obtain her Xenomorph DNA to again try and Obtain a Pure Specimen.... but i feel that from the Perspective of WHY they would want a QUEEN.. then surely Ripley 8 is the better Prospect for Biological Weapons Research.

I think you made a Good Point about Lazy Writing... and so INDEED i think IF we ever get another ALIEN Movie then that does not mean they would TRY and make it FIT with what have seen...

They could just NOT bother with Details or HOW this and THAT came to be......

Love that Last Image ;)  Would like to see a New Race that would be similar introduced to the Franchise.

I think we have to look at this from the Comic Perspective and that Disney would have known the Franchises have Potential to make MONEY from other avenues than just Movies.

So its just a bit of FUN and Popcorn and its NOT like they Expecting us to take it Serious, as its Fun to read such things NOW and again.  There is a MARKET for it.

I think as far as us getting this kind of Cross-Over in a Movie is something i DOUBT we would see.

I think as long as Disney does Respect that the ALIEN Franchise is suited to a Mature Audience their is SCOPE for it to be done Justice.....   The Punisher is a Good Example.

I think regardless of the Medium then you can cater for Stories that are more Action Packed/Popcorn while also do some with a more Serious/Horror/Thriller kind of Plot.

If a Avengers vs Aliens Comic would NOT be someones Cup of Tea then those people DONT have to Read them ;)

So i dont think we should PANIC and think this is the Direction that a Movie would take ;)

Hope to see plethora of dangerous creatures in future films and series in the Alien franchise. Some of these creatures will likely be at animal level of development. Looking forward to see super-intelligent alien life forms as well.

Marvel/Disney said they would not throw away any previous assets. That is, they will not refuse either prequels or other projects. Appearance is certainly another matter. But I do not think that the issue price will be high.

Can they get the rights for David(fassbender)? or Ripley(Weaver)? Marvel/Disney may have deep pockets, but I doubt they're gonna pay for their likeness.

Lawyers and rights attorneys are gonna kill most of this series before it starts.

Or the Hulk, who breaks the Queen’s neck, and then turns into an normal human. Suddenly he begins to cough up blood and chestburster tears his chest.

Or Ironman who is piloting a juggernaut and suddenly killed by a chestburster. Juggernaut falls on LV-426, and then ... Alien. Perfect prequel!

Second thoughts. If Alien and Predator would eliminate all the Marvel super heroes, it's not such a bad move. Then, when there's no one left to fight, we could hope for a return to the Alien and Predator universe. Respectively.

It would be most rational to think that Queen 7 repeated the fate of Queens 1-6. That is - it was dead/degraded. And it was not suitable for any experiments, except for an autopsy.

Given the fact that scientists aboard Auriga were a kind of perfectionist fanatics, we can assume that Queen 7 was a useless abomination for them.

In addition, experiments on Auriga have not been approved by the USM. I do not think that there was a second base/ship for additional experiments.

Marvel has a MAX studio for cruel products. Sometimes they show such brutality that you will never find in DH.

BlackAnt  Easy. Disney doesn't know how to handle its aquisition but knows there is a large fan base and possible profits. It hands it over to Marvel to see what they can do with it. If Disney likes it and thinks it could make a few bucks, the project could be green lit. There is no need to make it complicated.

Svanya Thank you. Considering only the Quadrilogy, it seems that the tubes could function as both "spinnerets" for creating resin as well as a way to breathe. That would be consistent with Alien, Aliens and sort of Resurrection. The Runner in A3 didn't require those attributes for that movie and so it makes sense they were left out. It is difficult to say for Resurrection since there was a hive with resin, Xenomorphs effortlessly functioning underwater and apparent exhalation observed in the OP video. I suppose I would let it ride with the idea that they were genetically engineered/mutant Xenomorphs.

There used to be a really wonderful blog that explained these things in depth,sadly I can't find it anymore. I also can't find the old post I made about the tubes way back when based on what this blog said. (There were Giger images to support the theory).

Anyways, the dorsal tubes were used to secrete the resin that made the hive walls/coocoons. Like a spider's spinnerets. The Alien was positioned upside down while spinning the resin.

For Ripley: Continue with her and CGI treatment after Resurrection or just give her some voice overs (ala Paul) or silhouetted cameo shots if after Alien/Aliens. Easy peasy. But as a main character? Nah, let her rest.

I think this is how we might feel watching that kind of movie in the first place!!!! 

A hundred posts later and I thought we all agree the Alien Ripley story is a horrrrrrrrible idea!!! HORRRIDDDABLE!!!

I like the idea of showing the story of Hadley's Hope. There was a decent chunk in Aliens' DC explained. I ran into another independent piece that could help flesh out your story as well. Alien Supremacy:

The Quadrilogy will always be near and dear to me.

As for the future of the franchise, I would rather see it in Marvel's hands than Disney's- and those are the choices we have.

I am on record for enjoying AvP (but hate AvPR), and enjoy it for what it is. I think Marvel could make a decent movie as long as it doesn't get too campy and bring in unrelated characters like The Hulk and such. Bring it on and let's see what you've got, Marvel!

Dear Alien fans over the years we have discussed much. We have shared in many wonderful theories, some good some not so good; but, this my friends this!!!! THIS IS NOT HOW THE ALIEN FRANCHISE should expand it's most brilliant origination with respect to all the incredible people that worked so hard to give us this incredible art! You could say you might be just flushing is all down the toilet.

This is not an official break up Alien fans but we are close and with that I go back to the bucket.

It is such a sad story...but in the post above this one that is Jonesy.....Ripley's cat....yes even Jonesy after hearing this tragic news could not take it and is now self medicating...

Or what if ALIEN V is set after Ripley is Rescued from the Narcissus and therefor ONLY the First Movie was NOT a Dream?

Certainly i remember them ;)  I think with Comics you do get Stories and Ideas that seem FUN and offer some Alternative Entertainment and thats the GREAT thing about Comics.

I just think with more Serious Stories that are aimed at the more Over 15 Year Olds is something that in Comic Form we would see LESS of from Marvel as opposed to Dark Horse.

Comics can give us some Strange Cross Overs to give us a bit of Fun to Read.... but i dont think that say making a Robocop vs Terminator Movie would be a GOOD IDEA for Example.

So i have NO Problem with Cross-Overs in Comic Form or more PG-13 related Popcorn style Comics set in the Alien or Predator Universe.  But God Forbid if we had a Avengers vs Aliens Movie ;)

I think Time will Tell with the Comics if we get some more Serious Ones...  I have not yet got around to reading.

But certainly Stories like that one i find Interesting, and indeed i think its interesting you bring up the Point about Prometheus i think their is Potential to Explore more about the Engineers in Comic and Novels.

Hopefully IF we get to see them more then maybe some of the Explorations are NOT similar (all the time) to say how they was in Fire and Stone (i have YET to read the other Comic Book adaption of them yet though).

I found the audience for a film like that where Alien would be a super hero film too!!!
