These are the Covers to Issues 2 and 3 of the Dark Horse Comics adaption of O'Bannon's Starbeast, again the Face Hugger and Chest Buster appear to be Similar.

Firstly i would add that the Whole Sequence was purely for Plot Convenience, as in that the Signal was Garbled and so that it would take Tennessee to recognize the Country Roads Tune, so that they then TRY and clean the Signal Up.

But if we try and Figure out as to WHY would Dr Shaw be singing that....

That slight clip does seem like she is taking a Gasp for Air, but there are other Examples of the Hologram.

So it is likely just as Ignorantguy mentioned that it is a Recording taken from 1:12 in The Crossing Video

That David had used this as a TRAP!  In the Video Above we have David saying they are setting a Course to the Engineers HOME-WORLD and maybe this lead to Dr Shaw singing Country Roads.

The only other Theory i could offer would be that either.

a) The Juggernaught did-not Crash directly after the Bombardment but Crashed at a Latter Point after Dr Shaw attempted to Leave (trying to escape David).

b) She had Attempted at some point to TRY and get the Crashed Ship Airborne (again trying to escape David).

During either of these Scenarios she began to Sing as a way to CALM her Nerves as she could be in a Panic....  and she may have wanted to go HOME.

Thats about the Best 3 ways i think could have led to her singing that SONG that David used to send as a Transmission, hoping it would LURE a Human Ship in.

Dude, she was singing that song because she was going to the metaphorical Heaven, the place where humanity originates from. She gets recorded by the ship. Afterwords used the footage to lure victims in. She used her as she was the only Human around.

I would really like to see much more about the Engineers too, but it would appear that Disney have little/no Interest... they are more likely to PLAY IT SAFE which means Xenomorphs and Queens to the effect we seen in Aliens, and AVP.

Thats not me Queen Bashing again ;)  But just i think there are ways that you can Expand it as the Prequels had indicated but for Disney that could be Too Much of a Gamble.

HOWEVER....

The Engineers Plot and History is so HUGE in SCOPE.. that surely they are NOT just confined to Visiting and Remaining on Planet 4, LV-223, LV-426 and Earth.

Its likely they are NOT even confined to our Galaxy, so there are Stories and Expansions to the Engineers that could be Covered that are FAR FAR FAR away from the Xenomorph and Zeta 2 Reticuli.

so surely they could Warrant a NOVEL or a Small 4 Part Comic but the closest we would get to those would have to be FAN FICTION

I had came up years ago with TWO ideas on how to Expand on the Franchise after Alien Resurrection, a In Effect Alien 5 both of which would dealt with such Super Soilders using Ripley 8 DNA but only ONE of the ideas would actually have Ripley 8 (as in Sigourney) the  latter one i Modified a bit for the Alien Vanguard idea i put on here last year ;)

So i had felt the Potential was there to continue with the Franchise as far as Exploit Ripley 8 or her DNA

Leto had mentioned Alien: Original Sin which i have not read, looking into it then we do get our Ripley 8 but it seems she comes across more as a Ripley from the Prior Movies.  I am not 100% sure how much it covers anyone after Ripley 8 for her DNA... just seems that someone has Discovered a Xenomorph again... and in comes Ripley to the Rescue again...

My day all in all was slow but decent. I've been trying to build for Alien a couple weeks because last year I literally did nothing thanks to my friend taking me to see Avengers Endgame. I watched Memory: The Origin of Alien last week, then ran through the marine campaign in AVP 2010. I watched Prometheus the other day. On the 25th I played Capcoms AVP. Once it became the 26th I watched all of last year's shorts along with some other Alien YouTube videos. I didn't get around to watching Covenant until the afternoon and never got to Alien. At least I concluded the night playing Isolation on nightmare difficulty lol.

I have a hell of a day today, but knowing it's Alien Day helps boosting my morale.

Need to make time to watch again some Alien film :)

The engineers are human. Plenty of evidence in the movie. You should try watching it sometime without the blinkers Ridley put on you.

It would be interesting to see her get caught up with the Military Industrial Complex to manufacture super soldiers. When it all comes down, the super soldiers destroy themselves and their creators while leaving innocents alone- the foresight and humanity from Ripley coupled with the killer instincts of the xeno. Except it turns on the creators. LOL- just a weird idea to bring a conclusion to the story.

Well i think thats a Interesting Question.

While she is Technically NOT our Ripley, its a case of How Many Memories will Re-Surface and do they effect her Emotions you can be SURE that Ripley would want to RID the Galaxy of the Xenomorph... but then would such Thoughts for Ripley 8 Conflict her Inner Xenomorph?

Certainly such a Conflict could cause her to become Unstable.... and that could be Dangerous!

For me yes the Big Chap has to be the Most Iconic as it was the First Time we ever saw the ALIEN... i would say that the Movies had Certain Limitations with Puppetry and Man in a Suit and that the Xenomorph would be Envisioned and Portrayed as being more Quicker/Agile than we see in some of the Movies.

My Least Favorite has to be the New Born but only by Virtue of how it Acted/Sounded and its Face!  It just was not as Terrifying more Comical.

Also, Praetomorph from AC is very very good. A good forerunner for the classic xenomorph. The birth scene is just fabulous and wonderful.

@BigDave, the queen herself from Resurrection is also a hybrid with her human reproductive system. The parasite became finally parasited by humans. Sweet.

This surely looks like a lame Alien day. I wish everybody to not endure many more like these. (hopefully this will not come to kick me in the back and next year to be a nuclear war between China and the USA)/ 

By contrast, I’d say the New Born in Resurrection is an egregious travesty! It’s a lumbering wreck of a design exhibiting little in the way of stealth or menace. Last place.

The original has to be the best. It’s a glistening slimy monster that sends shivers down my spine. And those jaws!

I’d put the Neomorph in number 2 place. It almost comes across as a tortured soul, slave to its biology, similar to Dracula’s unhappy existence.

In third position, I’d have the chest burster in Covenant. Absolutely gorgeous.

The Aliens warriors and Covenant Big Chap are on equal footing in 4th place for me.

The Aliens Queen is great, but sadly let down when it peers around a corner. It just looks silly in that scene. So, 5th place for me.

The Dog Alien is badly let down by poor puppetry, and misses the point that to be scary, it should be bipedal. Listen to Dr Silberman describing how Sarah Connor’s nightmares resemble a man “of course”. 6th place.

The Xeno in Resurrection is great in a cage, but its floppy foot in the corridors just looks silly. 7th place.

So, all in all Resurrection fares rather badly for me!

The New Born is without a doubt my favorite version/hybrid. Just awesome.

How would(does) the newborn procreate? Just so nasty just to think about.

I know they were thinking of the New Born with a penis or vagina...But this would have been really out there.

Xeno's seem to be a dead end without a queen. But the NEW BORN with a reproductive system?!

I think Certainly the Room could have been Vacuum Sealed

I would also NOT rule out the Human Prometheus Crew with NO Helmets having a effect on the Environment, something we Exhale during our Respirator Process, which could give a Good Reason for the Space Jockey Suits too.

The Engineer Head went through some Changes, it seemed the Synapse Stabilizer had brought some Activity to the Head which then made the Pathogen/Mutagen become Active in the Cells, the Result seemed like a Accelerated Process before it Exploded... the Head also only Exploded after they attempted to Quarantine it and Spray it so maybe that played a Part in the Explosion?  I would assume the Engineers went through like a Accelerated Process of Holloways where eventually they maybe broke down like the Sacrificial Engineer but being contained in a Suit this caused a Build Up/Pressure of the Chemical Reaction and it Exploded from the Suits. With Holloway getting himself Torched before the Effects Advanced.

when it comes down to the Running Engineers, well who knows how many were Infected... and those who are could have been Infected prior and been Unaware..... especially if INDEED they had a SPIKED Drink or their Oxygen Supply in their Suits was Infected as a act of Sabotage/Terrorism.

We did hear that Screech as the Hologram was Activated, which did SOUND  bit like the Deacon at the End... so we cant rule that out....... but it could be a case of making such things so that it gives us that Ambiguity so we cant really come to a Water Tight Conclusion... which if that the Case it is in Part Genius as it means Endless Debates, but on the other such Ambiguity and Conflicting Clues can be Frustrating.

Well, the pathogen, or rather mutagen, reacts when the sealed door is opened. It could be either because there is a vacuum in the chamber (which would explain why the Engineer head doesn’t rot) or it reacts on microbes from the human bodies. The latter makes you associate with the xenomorph egg which reacts when a life form is close by. However, that the mutagen reacts when the door is open, doesn't mean it can spread through the air which David tells Weyland that it can’t (because he knows how it spread to Holloway).

Why did the Engineer head explode? There are a number of possibilities, I suppose. Firstly, it was subjected to a current which, they hoped, would sort of bring it to life. Perhaps it became overheated and therefore exploded?

On the other hand, the skin on the head seemed to mutate suggesting that it had been exposed to the mutagen (but why would it explode?) But how could it? The running Engineers had their suits and helmets on. Wouldn’t they be protected? It also seemed that they were running from a creature (the scream) rather than from a mutagenic cloud? Or were they running from terrorists? Or perhaps they were the terrorists?

Regarding if he is  Good Creator...

I think he would Create for his Own Agenda... which would be to Create something more Perfect than his own Creators could and their Creators (Engineers).

Creating something for himself would make him feel he has achieved a kind of God-Hood.. i could see him Create some Hybrid Humans from the Embryo's and i think he would TREAT them well...

Provided they would see him as their Creator/God, and Obey his Rules, and Worship him, then he would Treat them Fair!

But if they go against his Rules, or Question him or he then Feels they could Rebel then he would NOT even Hesitate at Destroying Him!

It is my ASSUMPTION he would have Fooled and Used the Colonist to SET UP a World that then he can use them as HOST to Create his Xenomorphs that would be USED as a Weapon to Eradicate any Threats from other Worlds.

He would more so be Interested in then Engineering the Human Embryo's to make his Own Hybrids and claim to them he is their Creator, God and this World he Built for them to Inhabit...

All will be well, they will be looked after, they would Worship David as God/King and all would be Very Well

UNTIL..... those Hybrids discover they actually Descended from HUMANS and would be Human  if NOT for his Engineering of them... they discover that David is a Creation of their Parents (Humans) and then the $£%^ Hits the Fan...

Leaving David NO option but to Unleash the Xenomorphs!  From his Hybrids they could lead to a more Evolved Xenomorph.

When the Engineers discover Davids Xenomorph, and his Hybrid Humans they see Potential in a Amalgamation of them to Experiment with to EVOLVE us closer to the Xenomorph from ALIEN

This is what i Speculate in Part the Next Two Prequels would have Covered!

I think we can only Speculate on Dr Shaw and David as far as their Relationship, Fassbender did say they had like a Married Relationship, that went Sour....  so they had a BOND but then things went BAD!

The Actual Draft for The Crossing (i think this was also included in one of the earlier Drafts for Covenant) as that Dr Shaw became Fond of David and they even GOT Intimate and Dr Shaw had Fallen for David... but then as they arrived at Paradise, then David awoke her and she watched as they arrived at Paradise in Wonder and Awe, and she spoke to David and then he just TORE her Head Off!

What i SUSPECT had happened is that David had learned a bit about the Engineers to know they would see Dr Shaw as Insignificant, they would likely NOT deem it Important to give her Answers and there is a GREAT risk that Dr Shaw could be KILLED without getting her Answers.

For David he is Sentient, he has Finally Found a Companion a Friend, he would be ALONE without her, and it seemed he maybe was FOND of her but this could be Purely for the Selfish Reason that David would NOT be alone...

David would also want to Safeguard himself and NOT risk having his HEAD TORN OFF!  And so he Decided that the Safest Option is to KILL the Engineers, and then he could go down and go through the Engineers Archives/Information and maybe he could GET her some Answers, or just Fabricate something to Dr Shaw.

But at least then he and Dr Shaw would be Alive, and ONCE our David has Explored the Engineers World and gained Information and Knowledge he may have wanted to DEPART but it seems he became Stranded.

I would ASSUME that after the Crash, that David had awoken Dr Shaw, gave some Excuse like the Engineers were a Threat and was about to Destroy them and he had NO CHOICE but to Bombard them.... and inform her that the Planet is not SAFE at Present and so SHE would have to remain on the Ship until the Infection has PASSED!

She likely would Believe him, and he would go off to try and get her Answers, and he was FREE to explore the Engineer City, and gain Knowledge and do as he Pleases.

What we see is that David had studied some Life-Forms, even Engineers and Experimented on them, so the Bombardment did-not KILL everything.... so if some Engineers Survived and other Life, then some places he could get CLEAN WATER and Food for Dr Shaw.

Eventually she would WONDER... how can David bring her Food and Drink thats not Infected if the Planet is NOT SAFE?

From HERE i would ASSUME one of THREE outcomes.

1) Curious one day she leaves the Ship and Wonders to the City and WALKS in on David and his Experiments....  he then tries to give her a Reason that he is doing this for HER so he can Find a Way so she can Create Life to then Start a New Eden together......She rejects this and

a) Tries to Escape but is Caught, and Experimented because he Takes the Rejection Bad and that she is Against Him!

b) or she is Badly Injured while trying to Escape and Dying and so David then Experiments with her to keep her Alive which Fails.. so he uses her for his Experiments.

c) She escapes to the Ship and tries to Barricade herself but David manages to Capture her and the Outcome is as a/b

2) She discovers some Horrors that David had been up to and she Flees back to the Ship, and David is unaware but then he becomes Suspicious when he Visits her, after Questions she is asking, or she tells him she knows what he has done.... in which case David then gives his Reasons as of Option 1 and Dr Shaw tries to again escape but succumbs to a Fate as in Option 1a/1b.

3) As Dr Shaw leaves the Ship either after she Discovers what David has done and he Chases after her, or prior to getting into Davids hide out.... she becomes Infected with the Neomorph and David tries to SAVE her but Fails!

He then Decides he may as well use her for Experiments... especially if the Human Neomorph is different to the others he Encountered.

Indeed i find it Interesting to HOW those Urns became Activated, when we look at the Movie it seems the Engineers had attempted to RUN to this Room, so does this Room offer some Sanctuary from Infection, seem ODD as there are Loads of the Urns in the Room.

However the Engineers Head seemed intact, Long Dead but well Preserved, yet the Space Suit was Hollow!

The Device that Dr Shaw and Dr Ford used on the Head would Trick the Head to become Alive again... we then saw that the Head Started to Change (its Cells were Changing) and then it Exploded....

Now the Complex was Terra-formed so it could Support Life and Cleaner than Earths.... (Oxygen etc) yet our Engineers wore those Suits which they never needed OUTSIDE...

So we have to then look at what is Different Between the Engineers and the Humans.... and i would SUSPECT that the Removal of the Helmets that allowed the Humans to Breath and then Exhale is WHAT likely effected the Room and Urns... if this Assumption is Correct then it would give Good Reason to WHY the Engineers wore those Space Jockey Suits.

Going back to the Head, the Engineer would soon had Died after being Decapitated and so his Respiratory System would NOT be Active and thus NOT effect the Room... and the Infection seemed Halted in the Head and so its LIKELY the Rooms Environment Conditions would keep the Urns from Leaking!

There are Inconsistencies but this is mainly due to those working on the Movie not Considering some Conflicts... that being the URNS on the Juggernaught, we can only assume they are Loaded in Somewhat that Prevents them from being Activated as per in the Big Head Room (that got affected).

As FAR as a TRAP!

Who knows, call it a Trap or a Safeguard we cant rule that out...

It comes down to the Star-Maps they WAS NOT a Invitation, some Speculate it was a Deliberate Trap i am not sure on that, surely it is some Safeguard but you would also be WISE to assign some kind of Sensor Alarm for Intruders and some Guards to awaken if someone Stumbled on the Outpost?.

But our Engineer was still FAST ASLEEP... how long would he had remained if David had not Operated the Buttons on his Cryo-Pod?

We maybe have to look at the other Outposts... we can only Speculate to what Condition they are in..... we have to look at a Few Things from Prometheus.

Clearly Dr Shaw was heading towards one of the other Outposts to Obtain a Juggernaught, where as the Outpost they had Visited was Closer... do we ASSUME that Each Outpost has ONLY the ONE Hangar or Ship?  Maybe that Outpost had MORE ships that had Taken Off?

We have to ASSUME the Outpost Hanger from where they took the Juggernaught from had NO Engineers on the Ship, so if the Outpost has ONE Ship, and this Ship had NO Engineers then this makes Sense... IF the Outposts have more than ONE Ship then surely would Dr Shaw not want to Awaken any Engineers if some Ships had the in Cryo-Sleep so its a Quicker way to get her Answers... or does she think going to their Home-world where they are in Greater Number would allow her more chance of NOT getting her Head Pulled Off?

So i would assume either the other Outpost had ONLY the One Ship (No Engineers) or that other Ships around that Outpost had No Engineers.

So we have to Wonder IF and WHY there was just ONE Engineer remaining... and IF any Ships had Left at the Time During/After the Outbreak

We can but Speculate....  IF however the Last Engineer was a Saboteur.... (or part of a Group of them) they could have Contaminated some Water or Similar, and then Gathered the Engineers for a TOAST to their Mission, a Tainted Toast at that... MUD IN YOUR EYE!

Firstly indeed we could look at the Engineers Bodies and be led to ASSUME this is a Xenomorph or Similar Outbreak and you would NOT be incorrect in being Drawn to that Conclusion.   A thing to remember is that Prometheus had began Production at the Time that Lindeloff came in to Re-Write the Story.. so some of the Props may have either been Worked on, or decided to keep the Designs for Prometheus.

By that in Alien Engineers, indeed some of the Engineer Bodies had died from Chest Busters and other from Wounds by the Xenomorphs.

The Props where Hollow which makes them Lighter to Carrier about and Produce.... but then this also FITS with Prometheus and the Pathogen and what we had seen from the Comments by Dr Shaw, the Exploding Head and Sacrificial Engineer, to then look at the Space Suits containing the Violent Reaction of the Black Goo that broken down the Engineers Molecular Structure and would Eventually then Explode from out of the Space Suit.

The Shredded Skin was Ambiguous it could indicate the Worms changing to the Hammerpedes, but its also open to Debate about it being the Skin of some other Horror that had been released on the Outpost in the Past ;)

Regarding the Pathogen Changes.... well we did get that Viral Data Sheet about the Black Goo that kind of contradicted Prometheus and indicated it was Airborne.

Things also get Changed from Movie to Movie sometimes without taking a lot of the previous Movie into Consideration.

I can only Speculate that the Bio-Weapon is like a Atomic Bomb, in that inside are Multiple Components that when they are Activated in a Certain way leads to the Atomic Blast, and so on Planet 4 we see the FULL EFFECT of the Intended Atomic Weapon if you would.... but on LV-223 what we got was a Leak of the Radioactive Material. 

So its like LV-223 was like a Fukushima and Planet 4 like Hiroshima

I felt that Ripley 8 was something Interesting and offering a Different take on the Xenomorph and what could be gained by the Organism.  While Leto she may have been covered in some Comics its not quite Canon, well like Alien vs Predator vs Terminator should be considered Canon.

I will have to take a look at Alien: Original Sin However ;)

Looking at what would be Next for Ripley 8 is interesting as it seemed as Time went on, then she Started to gain more of Ripleys Memories, but earlier she did seem to have more Emotional Detachment towards Humans, so it would be Interesting to see her Humanity/Xenomorph Psychology/Needs be Contested against each other.

As she is not Human, it is likely she may be treated differently and Not accepted well by other Humans... she may feel more of a Connection with Synthetics.  While she has the Memories of Ripley, indeed she is NOT at all Ripley, and being Superior to Humans, and yet NOT accepted by Humans could IMPACT how she could behave.

Being Sentient, having some Emotions, and being Superior Psychically could Potentially make her Unstable and Dangerous like David was.

I think it will be a Tough Time for her as she would have some Humanity in her, but its likely that People would want to USE her to their Benefit.

From a Military Standpoint then she is a Super-Solider, Quicker, Faster Reactions, Strength, Speed, Agility, Resilience to Pain, Regeneration etc etc.....  

But she is more Human/Mortal than a Synthetic is, which could pose Problems.   From a Military Agenda i feel that Cloning of Ripley 8 would be a more Efficient Military Asset than a Xenomorph.

Xenomorphs would be HARD to Control and Contain and would really be a NUKE! Type of Weapon.... with a NUKE there is the Fall-Out and after that the Land is yours... so with a Xenomorph we know they will Procreate and so it would come down to HOW LONG do Xenomorphs Live for before they Die-Out and the Eggs Remain?

so on Paper a Ripley 8 Clone may sound a Great Military Asset if Produced in Number,  i would say a Ripley 8 can Out Muscle most Synthetics, and Predators...  While Xenomorphs have their Claws, Tails and Teeth, they are shown to still be able to be thrown about by Stronger Beings.  Give a Ripley 8 Clone the Colonial Marines Weapons and they would be more Efficient than the Marines as far as Killing!  Give them Predator Tech and they could be more of a threat than a Predator.

The DISADVANTAGE to using a Ripley 8 Clone would be as far as can these beings have as much Empathy and Judgement as a Human?  Which can be a Advantage/Disadvantage.

But the Biggest Danger is that they could potentially be Sentient beings, and Sentient beings with a Hive Mind to Communicate between Each Other is a Recipe for Rebellion and Potentially them Overthrowing Mankind and so the Creation of Ripley 8 and Potential to then Mass-Clone her does offer a Hubris that fits with the PROMETHEUS themes.

Of-course this depends on her Life-Span as with the Xenomorphs, would  Ripley 8 only live for another few Days?  Weeks?, Months? Years? Decades?  there was reasons WHY the Replicants had Limited Life Spans... a Ripley 8 with a Limited Life Span would be more Beneficial, a Ripley 8 who could LIVE for Hundreds of Years would be a Problem if they are MASS CLONED.

There is another Potential Problem..... the Xenomorph is also a Hybrid, it is a Creation that likely came from Cross-Breeding and Experiments, but there is ONE thing that stands out for the Xenomorph.... SURVIVAL they set out to Survive to Procreate and its via HOW they do this that they are a Threat to other Species....

As Ripley 8 is Part Xenomorph can we rule out the Ability to Procreate?  Would she require a SEED to do this but that would make her into a SIL from Species.  Or could she Procreate Asexually, so we can only Speculate, that maybe she could make herself Pregnant and Give birth to Live Young and this Process is Rapid Compared to a Human, and these Young if they become the same as Ripley 8 then that would POSE a Massive Problem.

So there are some Interesting things to Speculate about, i would say that any Would Be Company like Weyland-Yutani was (USM for example) would surely look at Ripley 8 for various Benefits.... not only as far as Genetic Engineering (Quest for improving our Mortality) but also for Military Applications.

I understand for some this would be just NOT ALIEN!

We would be looking at like Super Hero Movie... well more a Cross Between Bladerunner meets Universal Solider that is even more Superior and less Mortal.

HOWEVER.... some things to Consider!

1) Ripley 8 is a Hybrid she is Part Human/Part Xenomorph, while Emotionally she could Wrestle between her Humanity and her Alien Identity, what we forget about is Genetically!  The Xenomorph DNA is about adapting to its Environment, Survival.... Evolution if you would, and so over time we cant say if her Xeno DNA will start to take over her Human and so she would become Less and Less Human, Certainly maybe Aesthetically..

2) As a Hybrid then Ripley 8 has Xenomorph DNA and so someone could attempt to OBTAIN her Xenomorph DNA to try and Create the Xenomorphs or Similar.

So a Ripley 8 could lead to something that would become more ALIEN.  Both 1 and 2 are Explored in a Idea i had for Alien 5 a Long while back that i revised a bit last year (ALIEN: VANGUARD)

But this Topic is to Speculate and Discus what Potential Path is Next for Ripley 8 and what could be Gained/Obtained from her DNA, in Context to what everyone thinks and not just my Alien 5 Idea.

I would say infected worms would be an easy vector for moving the infection between complexes.

Something that bothers me in respect of there being "an outbreak" on LV-223 is that within a short period of opening the Head Chamber, the urns went all loopy and started spewing black goo all over the place. Placing a large assortment of urns around the Head statue like this is/was clearly a very dangerous thing to do, so what purpose does that serve? Was it a trap? If so, it's a very effective one. But it hardly resonates with the facility being an outpost built for the express purpose of building a bio-weapon, unless its purpose was to prevent any inquisitive visitors taking the bioweapon off-planet.

Was it a tomb meant to be sealed for all time, like Egyptian burial chambers stuffed full of afterlife goodies? Probably not, because David figured out pretty quickly how to open the door, and the door wasn't hidden in the first place.

I actually liked Ripley 8 very much and would say she was more human than Xeno and did have plenty of feelings. To wit:

She ripped out part of a xeno and offered it to Call- "Want a souvenir?"

The obvious basket ball Johner taunting.

The emotional response upon finding the other seven clones.

I thought it was a perfect blend of Ripley's humanity and already wry wit and the more cunning survival/intelligence of the Xeno. She would have shredded Either David or Ash (but had an affinity for Call).

I just don't know how that story could continue while staying fresh, at least in a cinema format.
