My favorites are the original Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
@Xenotaris good stuff!! I grew up with the classics, so many fond memories.. :)
the new Android is not ASH! Its just another Hyperdyne A series android who looks like Ash but this one is called Rook. Kind of like how Walter is different from David.
Same here, Resident Evil is one of my favorite Video games of all time, especially the older games.
We need a Biohazard/Resident Evil discussion forums. I'm a Biohazard/Resident Evil Lore Buff
"I guess the film will end Alien (1979) and Alien: Isolation style of self-destructing the spaceship/space station. And all the data gets lost and people who knew about the Xenos perish."
That's a plausible theory @Dark Nebula because it rids W-Y and/or survivors of any evidence of what was conducted at the station. Either that or the station falling into the nearby planet's (Calpamos?) atmosphere and disintegrating is my guess.
Speaking of self-detonations, that gif of Wesker and Tyrant in your previous post reminds me of all the self-destruct sequences in the Resident Evil games. With a few exceptions it's practically synonymous with the series! And mutations. My favorite VG series btw!

I was never really a fan of Ressurection's way of bringing Xenomorphs back by cloning Ripley. I don't know what went behind the scenes of the Resurrection, maybe they had other ideas, but the studio went "You have to somehow bring back Ripley" so they went with that direction I guess.
There are other ways Xenomorphs can be brought, the space is huge after all. In Aliens: Dark Descent miners on the remote moon of Lethe discovered an underground biomechanical city full of Ovomorph eggs.
I'm wondering how they are going to get out of this. Getting their hands on the Xeno ( or being able to manufacture the Xeno/facehuggers!) so early in the timeline is odd. You'd think they'd have uploaded or shared their data...rendering the later movies kind of behind the times. Why clone Ripley if they had the data in the 2140s?
Their gonna have to do some serious 'blowing up stuff' and scrubbing the history.
Ohhh I really like that one ^
This one is by NRib Design

Thank you very much.
I don't see any wounds, but I have to say that a close shot of that Xeno looks great. Fairly similar to the classic Drone.
According to the scoops, the Big Chap is barely alive, and not in good condition to fight or do anything. I wonder if we will see him in a test tube.

All those Facehuggers and Xenos were created by scientists who experimented with Big Chap. We know Facehuggers have some minor changes such as darker in color and have hooked barbs on fingers. I wonder what special design features will the fully-grown Xenos have?
V Scooper said that these aren't even the biggest surprises, which makes me even more excited for the film.
Reproducing the queen is way to Alien: Resurrection for me ( and I love A: R!). I hope they do something different.......( Maybe something really bizarre.... like using a cow or some other Earth organism to give birth to an egg pod )
I don't see them raiding the derelict for the egg ( ALIENS )....Though, if Ash is in the system maybe he directed Romulus team to them? But that really is a ALIENS remake.
Glad you're still here NCC 1701! Cheers to that :)
i will certainly drink to that Mr Neomorph
, always been here , just having a peek every so often
Hey Svanya! Good to see you again :D Adorable pictures as always lol
Which doesn't explain the eggs they came from obviously. So maybe the egg morphing narrative is followed, created pods, or both!
I wouldn't exclude some big reveal like a queen at the end of the film considering Romulus takes places between the first two films and is possible and primarily tied to them to a certain extent. It looked like one facehugger (or maybe it was all of them) had a different appearance in the trailer. Maybe that one, or one randomly if they're all the same, injects a queen embryo.
They did that in Alien Covenant but yes, I always liked the hidden skull face. Makes the xenomorph scarier and a personification of death. Likely this was engineered into them for psychological warfare if they were bioweapons.
That said, it would be cool if this movie would show a Preatorian (a proto-Queen)
I always believed the xenomorphs would initially use Eggmorphing to create a starter nest. Then when certain environmental conditions are met a genetic marker would trigger within the xenomorphs which one would naturally develop into a Queen
Time will tell
I think they mean the Giger Skull in the Alien head crest, like the original Xenomorph had a human-like skull behind the smooth dome if you looked at it a certain way. Makes the Alien even scarier.
With all those facehuggers running around there must be dozens of Xenomorphs on the station? Probably half the stations crew were burst.
I can't imagine the original 'Big Chap' surviving. They must of had time to research and produce the facehuggers. If Big Chap woke up and killed the stations crew...then where did all the facehuggers come from? Maybe it egg morphed the crew?
Just wondering if there will be classic egg pods?
Did they just replicate the facehuggers without pods? Lab grown.
Don't you need a queen for eggs? Or facehuggers?
Created Pods like David maybe..
"Ooh, you put the Giger skull…’ "
What does that mean?
What an humble opinion!
@Jonesy that's hilarious!
(Ripley knew I was gonna eat them)
Some insane talent in here! Dark Nebula, that's so darn cool!
I want!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Duuuude that’s awesome!
I also made my own VHS box edit that I uploaded on my Instagram a couple of days ago. I didn't upload it here, but here it is.

No, I didn't print it.
Yes I agree. And it's a perfect time to watch Resurrection on a Easter weekend. :D
Yeah I can definitely see that scenario happen! Those swarms of (maybe reverse-engineered judging by the new design) facehuggers looked nasty in the teaser.

I fully, wholeheartedly and without any doubt support your decision Chris! Sure it has some uh.. "minor" issues like the dialogue sometimes but on the other hand notice how the camera angles are beautifully shot, impressive animatronics and its unique take on Ripley, also showcasing Weaver's acting range.
At the very least it stands out in the series as its own thing, for the better or worse.
Alien Resurrection has grown on me over the years, still my least favorite of the Alien series by far, but it has its moments. I should give it a rewatch this weekend as well haha.
