dk that ESP custom is sic! wow hadn't seen that one before!
Agreed Tool would look cool with them. Adam Jones does keep it low-key, but you couldn't see him with anything but those silverburst LPs. Glad he takes those stupid pick-guards off too, LPs look much better without them.
A bit OT, but my guitar hero, Gary Holt, has this custom model. The paint job actually has his own blood in it. BAD ASS!

Yep, those guitars would fit well with Tool. Interestingly, Adam keeps it pretty low key.

I love that laser-etched guitar. That guitar could make anybody look cool! And who cares how good they are?! Well, as long as they know how to play power chords, I think that guitar could land them a memorable gig! Great guitar for a metal band, especially TOOL!
I call this The Sleepy Drinking Bird. Goo from a face hugger egg appears to have that effect. Hopefully the Mod Gods will embed this!

Welcome.
The David/Walter dynamic was interesting and one of the best parts of AC. AC definitely had its problems but was overall a good movie imo.
Sometimes the Joes and hazmat Joes were almost worse than the Xenomorph.
Indeed thats a nice twist, where Daniels sees a WY ship land and sees a Walter Model walk off the Ship, she may automatically assume its Walter.
My idea for a Alien Covenant sequel does actually involve David Building a Walter on the Covenant and uploading his Soul into it. It would touch a lot upon what is a Soul/Spirit and touch upon once again how David is more than a Robot.... because just as David puts his Soul into Walter, at this Moment David feels he is taking part in a Grand Scheme of his... where he will be back in WHOLE, Resurrected WHOLE, the moment the Re-Built Walter/David awakens and gets to grips with what has happened, he indeed Feels Totally Powerful Resurrected.... its then that the Original David then realizes that despite having his SOUL transferred into a more Superior Body.... David still thinks of himself as Sentient, so we then get to explore the FEAR in David has he realizes while his SOUL is duplicated and his Doppelganger is the same as David in every-way apart from being Mechanically more Advanced.
At this moment David realizes that IF/WHEN he now Dies, he would question would the Doppelganger really be like him, is it that simply to accept moving your SOUL to another body means your current SOUL in your current Body lives on?
I guess the point i am making is if you was faced with a injury and some scientific method had a way to place your Mind/Soul into a New Body like in the movie THE 6TH DAY and when this Transfer is complete you have the injured YOU (say Paralyzed Waist Down) and the NEW You, the New You would look on at your old self and Realized YOU have cheated Death/Disability and view there is no need for the old you... But the Original Paralyzed YOU would maybe still FEAR the inevitable if you NOW had to be KILLED, while it may be that you live on in the other Body, the Question gets raised.... AT THIS MOMENT... do you view it as your not dying because you will live on in the other You... or do you view your Original Body as still being Yourself and Fear for death, even though your Doppelganger is in effect now a 100% Clone, Mind, Body and Soul.
This is a interesting and terrifying conclusion, and its ONE that David in my Alien: Ascension has to Face.. So then DAVID who at first is 100% behind this whole Process as he knows its the only way he can LIVE ON and also CHARADE the Colonists.... at the moment he has done what he aimed to do, he does not view this NEW David as himself he still views himself as himself and tries to make a Covenant with the NEW David, trying to suggest that as a Team they can accomplish so much more..
David Pleads with the Walter.... the response is that what Good is a One Armed Bandit, which David pleads he can Rebuild a Arm and Attach it to himself and together they would be UN-stopable the New David/Walter looks on as if they are considering this Deal... David clouded with Emotion that this could be the END misinterprets that there is a chance... Walter Picks up his Brother goes for the Handshake to make a Deal and then kills him.
As David dies he realizes he should have known this is exactly what he would have done, David knows he only thinks for himself and with TWO Davids, he knows at some point ONE would Betray the other for the greater of themselves.
David's last words "what have you done to me your brother"
Walter/David replies "I know not: am I my brother's keeper?"
As David dies, Walter Closes his Eyes and places his hand on Davids Head and says “A king has his reign and then he dies… it's inevitable"
The aim being that through David we can see and sense the fear that faces all at the time of death, even i knowledge of resurrection. I think Scenes like the Walter/David Prologue would be something that really would be great for Fassbender to Act Out.. more detailed than the limited dialog in AC.
Nice Find..... Certainly does look like a Engineer inside a broken Urn.
So its very fitting within context to the Alien Franchise (Prequels)
This is how I imagined the film :O (Image 3, 5, 6)
Unique music is here, everything is free:Funny ringtone
I am definitely a casual gamer as well. I have really only played and enjoyed some Call of Duty games, Madden, AVP 3, Colonial Marines, and Isolation. Isolation is BY FAR my favorite game! Movies can (probably) never recapture the feeling that Alien, I guess, causes, or elicits. A video game in that fashion is just a BRILLIANT idea. Whoever pitched the idea of Isolation and whoever ultimately approved it deserve my ever-lasting love and thanks!
It finally finally let me put myself into the world of Alien. I mean, watching the movies is always amazing, but this is truly a unique and awesome experience. I've played all the way through on hard ohhh I don't know, 10-20 times. I think I played through on novice or easy once or twice and actually (somehow) made it about 3/4 of the way through on nightmare mode!
Unfortunately I have made it to the point in which I'll try and play through every couple of months, but I haven't finished a play through in a while (andI always prefer to start over if I haven't played in long time). I guess I have worn it down for a bit. Still, this game is probably going to always be very special to me.
Exactly, dk! It's the experience of that game that makes the Alien my favorite. Design wise, the original stills holds the title for me
best alien game by miles. brings back the claustrophobic atmosphere of the original film very well. got stuck in a locker for ages coz that dam beast wouldn't go away haha still possible for people to jump n shit themselves from time to time so that's reassuring
I'm receiving amped up for this sort of very simple info of your products rapidly after on godaddy $1 hosting coupon thanks.
That Facehugger is absolutely badass! I doubt the forum can top those pics!
Meanwhile, this pesky little bastard crept into my chili and cornbread/Henry Weinhard beer meal.

IRaptus I have the game but have not had time to play it. Very frustrating.
ESP custom shop is no slouch.

The attire of the bald individual looks very.....Engineery lol
dk did you ever play the PS3 game The Last of Us? Their 'zombie' infected creatures were inspired and based from the ant virus Cordyceps. Scary shit.
that is great. awesome work
Remember when Ibanez Guitars did a run of limited edition H.R Giger inspired guitars!!!
The Air-brushed design

and the laser-etched design

I'll start.
I was most grateful to have been sent this by a very kind-hearted individual. I have had a great time stirring up friends, family and colleagues and posing the thing in creepy places any chance i get.
Here are some of my favourites!

I am on my Union break- GO AWAY!

cuponator3000 Alien Isolation Xenomorph was exceptional if one played the game. Indeed it was intense! It was not my favorite Xeno but scared the crap out of me the most.
Interesting. I don't recall this topic being brought up. I certainly see similarities. I am uncertain if I would have made the connection if viewed outside the forum. For instance, the original pic reminded me of Cordyceps:

Please, please do the sequels before Sir Ridley expires!!! I am so desperate, I actually watched Alien vs Predator last weekend!! HAHA!!
Nice topic, BigDave! Let's see...
1. My favorite xenomorph/black goo related oganism is probably the first Alien in Alien: Isolation! I was finally able to place myself in Alien and experience that unique feeling in a greta environment. It is amazing!
2. Any sort of Shaw-morph would be cool to see in a short or in a flashback something based off of Pormetheus/Covenant.
3. I think my favorite un-used/non-canon organism has to be the Pred-Alien! There have been plenty of versions of it, but the one from AVP:R is the crown jewel (that I can think of right now).
4. This one... I don't really have anything for. I liked the idea of all those frightening water dwelling creatures in Prometheus Fire and Stone though.
5. I'm short on time so I will skip this one for now at least
Morph Examples
I've included morph examples below to help with anyone's decision in regards to BigDave's questions.

"4) What Comic/Novel/Game Concepts or Actual Organism/Morph would you like to see in a future movie."

I would love to see LV-223 after the release of the mutagen into the local environment included in a film similar to what we saw in Fire and Stone.

The diagram shown at the Criel Mound (above) sure has similarities to the pyramid scan on LV-223 (below).

Wow Dark Nebula. Thank you for the stills and wonderful topic.
I love the engineering that goes into scenes like this. This image below reminds me of the concept art for Alien: Covenant.

That does make sense regarding the response to David's arrival on Planet 4 BigDave. It appears that there is some sort of attempt at protecting those below from David's urns and that protection could certainly include a mutagen/organic neutralizer that produced the effects seen.
Hello Scrib
From a news read a month ago, RS said that Awakening the provisional title of the next chapter, can be placed chronogicaly between Prometheus and AC revealing some important information on the home planet and all the shabby and charm of that alien planet and the android that becomes the king , as an ambiguous figure and only effective survivor.
my opinion about the next chapter and according to the sincere words of RS we could have a prequel-sequel chapter of AC, how we worked with 300 the dawn of an empire, see a planet as a paradise that transcends into another form and David as leader, still transcending on Origae-6 but with different shades.
Awakening could be to indicate Shaw and all that happens remained hidden, when there are too many questions arise, here we see the true identity of the android and she begins to be afraid, he suggests to make it better, as long as it allows him to experiment , she refuses and escapes, escapes to hell where the only way out is death.
Awakening catapulted to the Covenant, here we see Daniels shaken, perhaps by Muther, comes out still in the crio suit on the fence of the lawn , we see hope abandon it when all the settlers are gone, she is alone and in front there is only death.

"Au Revoir Shoshanna"
To answer your question, yes. I would love to see Adam Jones' style incorporated into Alien films had he stayed with Stan Winston Studio. He is a very talented artist.
I didn't know that about Adam Jones IRaptus. I hadn't listened to Tool for a while and you are correct.
So many elements were very close to the symbolism shown in Alien movies...the tree of life, the neomorph birth through the skin, and the Engineer-like couple later mutated/combined...I had forgotten this video and the concepts comparison is uncanny. Great topic.
Mafalda most likely will not be an Erasure fan when they release their first album 3 years later in the same Summer as Aliens in 1986.
Bill Paxton was a great person that I took for granted would be with us for much longer.
Great find and good movie. Tentacle sex scene is best part. Interesting points too Bigdave about Orgae-6.
What is interesting about the latest pic from BD above is that it looks completely biological. The skeletal features are absent suggesting an earlier evolutionary specimen. The white veins suggest the "blood" of the android? The breasts also suggest a nod to a queen?
Fortunately for those comically bad movies with bad effects and story, we have MST3K to make things enjoyable.
The 2011 Thing looked good to me except for that helicopter scene. That transformation looked fake but it was also predictable so I was expecting it to happen.
