The First One looks interesting....

Kind of reminds me of some of those drawings that David had as far as maybe ideas he had planned for Dr Shaw

As for the Dialog of the Engineers this is a tricky one...

I dont think they can introduce them in any meaningful way if they are going to talk some Language we are not going to understand, in Prometheus it was not so bad because (and especially the cut down scene we ended up with) it did not matter too much.

If we see them again then unless they have little screen time or they hardly speak, then i think it would be very wise for them to use SUBTITLES

If they use English i think it would be just a bit odd, the only way i can think of is using ONE/TWO of the following.

1) When Engineers speak to Engineers give us it English but when speaking to Non-Engineers we get Subtitles, but this could confuse the Audience.

2) When the Engineers speak we use Subtitles, until a point when the Engineers use some-kind of Technology on a Human where they can then Translate and then we either have the Engineers that speak to this Human speak now in English, or the Engineers can somehow Telepathically or other means take the information from the Device and then can Speak English to the Humans.  

I would say option 2 would be the better option.

The Engineers need to be handled better, but i feel the damage done in AC can only be undone (given more credibility) if they go one of these routes.

A) They reveal another Race above the Engineers, and the LV-223 kind just evolved themselves with the other Races Tech.

B) The LV-223 Engineers Evolved themselves with Technology or are the result of Genetic Engineering, a basic attempt of those Planet 4 Engineers or others above them, doing what Weyland had done with David and Tyrell with the Replicants

C) Reveal another Race and show they allowed some to become evolved to LV-223 Engineers, but others not to be.

D) Just reveal those Planet 4 Engineers are another Subspecies of the LV-223 Engineers.

Prometheus was intended as a Prequel that would have had more Alien Franchise Connections, but then FOX decided it did not have to be much about the Xenomorph or Directly showing/telling about the Space Jockey and so it was changed a bit.  The connections are there but just vaguely,  then with a sequel they wanted to explore the Engineers more but again FOX felt nope... Fans did not like Engineers and needed to see the Xenomorph and how it was created and so again RS had to change direction.

so the above also applies to Thoughts_Dreams and your other reply in that the number of changes they keep making is not helping things at all, its basically like a make it up as you go along instead of sticking to a Plan... we can see how Star Wars EP8 suffered likewise because fans felt EP7 was too much like earlier movies so they changed things for that movie and brushed things aside set up by the first one.. much like AC did with Prometheus.

Sometimes you have to NOT try and Please FANS but stick to a Coherent story/plan.

I will add red0guy you raised very good points about how easy the Engineers could not control their Bio-Weapons or Protect against them, the only way out of this is reveal that these guys had Stolen all that Stuff or they played a Role under a Higher Race who they Rebelled against and they attempted to use their Creators Technology and it back fired... I ACTUALLY think this is what will be revealed. I am also wondering if Humans could be revealed as being much more Ancient and Powerful than we believe.. well our Ancestors. (not Engineers) ;)

Agreed. Rosenthal, like most of the Covenant Security Team were little more than plot fodder. None of them really got much of a look in....or screen time, and all had shitty weaks ends. Shouldve had them go down swinging at least. 

It is good to see Haubrich on Wolf Creek, it is a pretty big deal here and she is a top-billed cast for Season 2!!

The part about Childbirth with Dr Shaw i was referring to David being able to give her a Traditional Fetus and not a Trilobite, when i saw the Leaked shots from set that had those baby skulls i noticed they was Human Baby Skulls not Apes, and that got me to wonder if David had entered a COVENANT with Dr Shaw.  And in this i mean David as part of a deal said he could allow Dr Shaw to bare Children so THEY can start  A NEW and i wondered why David would do this? Was it a Olive Branch to make up for Destroying the Engineers?

So that this world could become a NEW Place for a NEW start, where David informs Shaw he believes he can find a way so she can Give Birth to Human Babies before something went wrong, and David experimented on these.

But alas, with AC out we find out mainly from Davids Notes that these are Engineer Infants... so my theory was wrong, but i think i was not far off with some of it because the Advent Viral Video indeed states that David washed the Engineer World Clean so Dr Shaw and he Could start a NEW EDEN so you have to wonder what his plans was for her if she accepted what he intended.

As for the Ripley Replicant, being created from Daniels, indeed only a Clone that can be artificially aged or like a Replicant would fit with the Time-Line but i am not sure this would be a good idea.

It is nice Tess is getting some recognition. She was way under utilized in AC. She just gave a vibe that I knew she could have been a really strong character. Maybe that would have upstaged Daniels, who knows?

I would have Ripley 8 (unless we are going for many hours after AR) be done with some CGI for a short screen time and have her go through some changes.

1) We see her veins fill up with Black Fluid a bit like the Holloway Infection shot in Prometheus, this subsides and leaves her skin PALE almost grey color where some dark veins can be seen. And a slight Elongating of the Head (She now looks like the Half-way point of a Planet 4 and LV-223 Engineer).

2) Later she Evolves again her Skin Becomes more Grey and ROUGH Texture and veins more Prominent and her Elongated head gets longer.

3) Stage 3 her Skin Sheds so she is like the VIVISECTED Engineer well like say Hellraiser Skinless Julia only in a more Grey Color.  Not far off LV-223 Engineer.

4) Stage 4 her exposed Vivisected appearances changes so that the Muscles become more Hardened, like they are forming into a Exo-Skeleton but only minor so the END RESULT is a cross between a Vivisected Female and Engineers Pressure Suit.  With a Elongated Head.

Not too different to the Final Eldon In the Fire and Stone Comics (only TWO Arms) so the potential is there to have Ripley 8 go through some changes and incorporate some loks from the AC Dr Shaw Concepts (Davids work) and some of the cool ones we seen on here posted by Pred Alex

I think they was mixed up with what the Alien Covenant Novel had hinted, which the Advent Video can vaguely hint towards too, i am not aware of any Interview that mentioned David tweaking etc the Xenomorph Make up.

Probably Netflix. And they can be streamed on Amazon as well.

I had already suggested what i feel would be the best way to tackle a ALIEN 5 and cast Miss Weaver, i mentioned this a few times in the past but the only Logical Way to go would be a Direct Alien 5

Maybe even calling it ALIEN: Apocalypse  or ALIEN: Armageddon but they could be a bit to much on the nose..

But what i suggested was a Plot that happens either directly after Alien Resurrection so like 24 hours latter or a few days or one that takes just a few weeks after....    Where Ripley and Call go off exploring the Ruins of Paris

THIS IS WHEN.... i proposed TWO Plot Choices.

1a) Ripley 8 and Call are either Captured at some point, and experiments done on Ripleys DNA so that samples are used to then Extract a Xeno-Clone from her DNA.

1b) Or as with (1)  but Reveal it that Call Actually takes Ripley 8 to a Safe-house and reveal that Call has set Ripley 8 up to have her DNA Extracted and that Call and the Autons actually wanted the Xenomorph so they can eradicate all remaining Humans so that the World could be Ruled by Autons.

Either of these leads to Xenomorph Experiments, and a Ripley 8 escapes to battle them.

2) The Crashed USM Auriga or reveal a escape pod escaped, and had a surviving Face Hugger, maybe this leads to a Queen or someone uses the Face Hugger to Clone it.

2b) As with (2) only someone recovers enough Xeno Genetic Material to Clone them.

And again either of these leads to Ripley 8 to the rescue...

NOW... What about the Age of Miss Weaver? while a Human can Age, surely a Self-Regenerating Ripley 8 cant?  So that Means CGI Miss Weaver?

YES/NO

You see Ripley 8 is a Clone, a Human that has Xenomorph DNA who is to say that Ripley 8 cant Evolve? If we are looking at Evolution then we have to consider the laws of Evolution will see the most Dominant and Better Traits take over the weaker ones.

So why can Ripley 8 Evolve, and her Xenomorph DNA starts to become more apparent rather than only have some abilities but Aesthetically looking Human.

A EVOLVING Ripley 8 means effects, these can be supple, we do not need to see NO Xeno/Human 50/50 Hybrid Aesthetically, she could also Evolve in Stages, and so we could see her early on and use CGI overlay to make her look younger, but then have her start to feel some changes and drop to the Floor.... when we next see her she will be slightly different where some Practical effects/Make up are required to hide her appearance.

What i am saying is while its hard to CGI a Human to look younger like they once was, its easier to CGI a Human to look like a more Alien Race yet retain the likeness of the Actor/Actress

Avatar being a good example, we can see the likeness to Miss Weaver and yet the skin looks younger too, where as doing a real younger Human Version would be much harder... HOWEVER i am not talking about this extreme of a Transformation... or maybe it could get to this...

But with Practical Effects you could change a appearance with color changes and even skin texture changes 

Again maybe not this Extreme... but my point is if Miss Weaver was to play a older Mystique/Raven in a Marvel Spin Off movie and they applied the Same Make up as they did with Rebecca Romijn/Jennifer Lawrence in the X-Men Movies then a Mystique/Raven would look (could be made) younger than the actual Miss Weaver is.

So using either CGI or Practical Effects to show a Evolving Ripley 8 has to be the most Logical Way to do a ALIEN 5 and use Miss Weaver, in a Story that does not change Canon, a Story that Evolves on Themes of the Prequels (effects of Black Goo/Xeno DNA) and would not need expensive CGI to drastically De-Age Ripley or take Alien 3 on wards as NOT Canon.

I can knock up a LONG Synopsis and Plot Points for this kind of Movie with ease, where i would go the route of OPTION 1B and reveal that Call hands her over to her Cult, who then use her DNA. These Experiments could have a effect on Ripley 8's own DNA where she Evolves a bit.... so then we can have her with some Mild CGI/Practical Effects... and she escapes...

Latter she finds Call and have Call say "Ripley is that you? you have changed you look awful"   and Ripley 8 can Ripley "Yes it is me and i feel Evolved" then she pulls Calls Head Off and then Demands Calls Head to Talk about everything her Cult is up to.

THIS....^^^ is the Kind of ALIEN 5 movie that is a continuation, it allows us to bring Ripley back to please Fans, it brings Xenomorphs back, it brings in the AI elements that Ridley Scott is so fond off.  The back drop will be so much different as it would have a I AM LEGEND feel to it as far as the post Apocalyptic Crisis Vibe.

A Tag Line could even be... WE CREATED THEM, THEY CREATED HER, THEY ARE OUR DESTROYERS SHE IS OUR SAVOR

This showing that Mankind Created AI and Synthetics, which eventually lead to Synthetics Creating Synthetics, Synthetics Creating Xenomorphs... and that through the Action of Creation of the Xenomorph, leads to Ripley 8 eventually... who is our only Savor.

Now only most of this... (after images) i only just came up with in minutes, so it seems to puzzle me why some movies have such Poor Stories and Plots... 

As for how much Ripley 8 Evolves, this can be mild to extreme... or stages to this... Remember the make up and CGI overlay done to the LV-223 Last Engineer could make a Ripley look younger.

What would i Propose this Movie to be?   Maybe ALIEN: OMEGA

We can use CGI but it is very expensive and still not quite Perfected... Especially when trying to do Humans, so while i am sure Disney could Fund a CGI of Old Characters the time and money would be a lot, and i think CGI would be best used sparingly for short scenes.

If the Last Teminator we had Arnold playing every Scene with CGI to make him look like the Younger One from Terminator i think we would notice the CGI is not Perfect yet and the BUDGET for the Movie would have GROWN exponentially, Tarkin was used not to often in Rogue One  and i dont think he looked close enough in terms of Quality to Warrant a Main Plot Character to be done in CGI

I think it can be done... The Terminator T-800 Nice Night for a Walk Scene in Terminator Genisys surely proves that (i think the CGI is better than Rogue Ones Tarkin) but to do this kind of work for a Character who will be on screen for even 25% of a Movie would be very very Expensive too Expensive.

I think personally when we are talking Alien 5 we have to ask are we talking a sequel to the Alien Franchise, be it a Direct Alien 5 which means after Alien Resurrection, or the Blomkamp route to De-Canon Alien 3 and Alien R.  I think any kind of Ret-conning should be left alone, we have to wonder what Ridleys Plans may have been as far as when he said "you could De-age" Miss Weaver/Ripley? Surely not to link a Ripley back to the Story before Alien took place?  Would RS had even considered to remove every movie apart from those he worked on as Canon? So NO Aliens.....!

I think any Alien 5 has to be a sequel to Alien R but then THIS does not have to mean it has to include Ripley again...

But the DOOR is open for Parallel stories.

Rogue One was not quite considered part of the Star Wars Series as far as EP1-9 but it was a event that connected, a desperate movie that had acted as a Prequel to Star Wars EP4 as far as a Direct Prequel.

So exploring AMANDA Ripley would be a kind of Parallel Story but i am not sure we should go this route, because if they made a Amanda Ripley Movie and it did not do well or it never did the GAME Justice this does not help the Movie Series or the Games at all.

There is HOWEVER Plenty to cover in the Franchise even after the PREQUELS  and even if the Prequels in some way cover or give us clues to what became of places like Origae-6, Planet 4 and LV-223 prior to the Time-Line of ALIENS thus leaving LV-426 as the only source of the Xenomorph.   We could still have other movies that cover the events of what happened to these places between the Time-Line of Prometheus (2094) and Aliens (2179) 

BUT EVEN if not....

The Engineers or Certainly those who that Bio-Technology of the Ships and Black Goo (if not Engineers) are surely a race spread pretty far across the Galaxy and has the Black Goo ever been used on a World?  Or had they not Tested it outside the LV-223 Environment and so Davids Bombardment was the First USE?

I personally dont think so, and so that means the Engineers and Black Goo,  Xenomorph Type Hellspawn that can come forth from this Substance is likely out there SOMEWHERE else too.

@Ati Who knows if its real. From what I've heard (I just heard) that image was checked by many experts and they all came to a conclusion that it wasn't in any ways photo manipulated. If it was fake, then I only wonder where would they get an albino the size of a basketball player in a black robe. 

When I first saw the photo I thought of the sacrificial Engineer.
