I agree the urns are carrying pre-facehuggers. Or at least some of them are. But I really hope they're not designed to wipe out the human race. The Bioweapon angle that Ridley has talked about is just god awful, it is too easy, and too James Cameron/Micheal Bay.
ReplySoX2000Prometheus ForumHead Urn TheoryJan 20, 2012
Lol I just had a giggle at what'd go through the 'mind' of a facehugger if it saw the giant head.
"Woah man! It's christmas! Come here beautiful" Whip!

the bioformer / proto-alien-DNA/DNA bank of all galaxy species etc ideas are more interesting
interesting fact: Amoeba's genome is 100X as big as a human. (because it has to do everything in chemistry,no hands/mind)
put another way, an Amoeba could *carry* human genes and not really notice
What if the SJ's are like that .. dual state life cycle, they start as unicellularbacterial life (in the pods) which can infect/mutate/modify other organisms and alien is just a refined version
ReplyXenophobePrometheus ForumHead Urn TheoryJan 20, 2012
I think that the Xeno-morphs could in fact be a bi-product of SJ experimentation on one of the human Prometheus crew, it was an accidental creation will will lead to the xeno's being a threat to the SJ's themselves.
ReplyGehirnPrometheus ForumHead Urn TheoryJan 20, 2012
Best I can come up with is that the green things in the urns are like venus flytraps that break down its food into an "injector" for whatever species it devoured. This would make the egg in the ampule room a seed from the jockey, and fits in with the idea that the Xenomorph is a mix between its seed and its host (making Mr. Penis-Head a mix of jockey and human). Maybe this time we'll see a poor jockey get humped by one of our own seeds?
And I don't want to dabble too far with goo theories and Shaw pregnancies but I will say this, if there is a rapid human pregnancy in this film, I wouldn't be surprised if it fit into the egg cycle because rapid-growth is a quality we've already seen in Alien before. So keep the theories coming...
ReplyXenophobePrometheus ForumHead Urn TheoryJan 20, 2012
@Gerhirn - Agreed about the rapid pregnancy stuff! I think the Urn that Fassbender's character is studying could be some kind of self converting DNA "thing" that absorbes the DNA of the species in contact, then forms into a creature able to impregnate it.

There are some great ideas being thrown around here. I really like the idea that we & our nasty vicious Xenos are actually related. It's too dark to handle in Cameron's ALIENS so James & co. turn it into Ripley's nightmare. What if it is not a nightmare. What if they allow Xeno to gestate & they remove it from Ripley's womb via medical procedure. Remember when Kane is face hugged, he says: "I dreamt of being smothered..." He didn't even remember there was an alien organism inside him.

There are no SJ's (as such) the urns ARE the SJ's ....laying dormant, waiting for the next civilisation host to come along and infiltrate. The last remnants of a long gone lifeforms (s). Not sure how the eco-skelton suit fits in though.....
ReplyCBT1979Prometheus ForumHead Urn TheoryJan 20, 2012
The big head maybe really has one
Simple function:
Once a creature evolves out from
the ampule, the big head makes
it horny, making the creature
Wanting to rape/hug any
Living being that looks
like that big head :)

interesting theory, but what stuck out the most was that first comment. "Mentos"? did you just compare James Cameron to Michel bay? not cool dude.... not cool..........

Well we've touched on the idea in this thread but I wasn't aware of the hair thing, that could be interesting.

Mentos, you always beat me to it. :-)
ReplystefanPrometheus ForumKate Dickie/Murdow - Android?Jan 20, 2012
Thanks both. Just read the topic and posted a reply! I think she IS an android. I think the fact (well, if the paper article is true!) that she had to dye her hair blonde, as Fassbender did, is maybe the telltale sign.
Both these actors have amazing, piercing eyes, and I think with their pale eyes and bleached hair, they will both look rather eerie.
Before I read that article I even thought that there would be something 'unusual' about Dickie's character, purely because of her 'look'.

stefan, we will see... unfortunately, not soon enough for me as June seems so far away.
And by the way, what's up with our countdown timer... I think it's slow. :-)
ReplystefanPrometheus ForumKate Dickie/Murdow - Android?Jan 20, 2012
I'm the same, I can't wait for June. I wish in someways I could go into the movie blind, not having read or seen anything about it, but it's just so difficult when you're a super fan not to look on the net!
ReplyjujutsukaPrometheus ForumKate Dickie/Murdow - Android?Jan 20, 2012
Well, Charlize Theron is blonde, does that make her a third android?
