no to dark star and dune. it was half remembered from an interview years ago, but have confirmed that my memory is correct, although it wasn't roger dicken. Hicks is correct. The actor in question appears in Aliens as Hicks with his back towards camera. they had to leave the shot in as they were a week into shooting when the actor got fired

This could only get better if the soundtrack was made by Nine Inch Nails i have to say. I wish Ridley Scott would realize that he should drop Hans Zimmer for Trent Reznor.

I am from Montreal and Nine Inch Nails has a big following here, Fantastically creative Band, but IMO that Background Score was too good, even for Them...!!! P.S. I also Absolutely Loved Hans Zimmer's score for "Black Rain", which was, incidently, directed by none other than Ridley Scott!

Sorry Bella, although an interesting thought - I really do hope not! It sounds faaaaar too 'Stargate' to me! I really can't see Scott going down the "Go'auld" route.

I don't think they're 'eggs' as such no - as they have vertical 'writing' or text of some sort on them that has been seen in higher-res close ups.

Good question. But I don't thing they'd be wearing all that fancy gear and there would probably be more evidence of earth type stuff lying around.

It was the lack of space suits that has thrown me. We see them wearing suits later on,this suggests an alien planet with atmosphere or, 2 alien planets?

can be of course ...that would explain a dead fossilized jockey here .... and they find them alive on another planet . That could be the very beginning of the movie ...btw would be quite strange that she have around 2 people that are in the crew too ( Imora and David )
