Alien Covenant for me. And the movie has become my favorite after Alien. I hope I get another chance to see it in theater. The darkest of all.

What I was getting at was Thoughts_Dreams keeps saying invent a new creature to replace the xenomorphs and I was curious what can possibly replace the xenomorphs since they are synonymous with the ALIEN franchise.

If the new creature in question is biomechanical, parasitic, eyeless, head is phallically shaped it will scrutinized as a xenomorph knock off at worse or wasted potential at best.

The new alien creature can't be a simple xenomorph 2.0, we already have those with the neomorph and deacon.

actually there is conflicting evidence on climate change, well in the mankind is responsible since a lot of the computer data uses false data or news agencies are deliberately misinterpreting weather data even when the climatologist on that same broadcast is saying otherwise. 

Also not every climatologist agrees that climate change is caused by humans

pretty much all of the Alien Resurrection xenos are cloned aliens

I'm torn between which poster to vote for, so i would go for the Alien Covenant since It looks haunting

Love the Prometheus poster too, omnious and captivating. And the tagline "The search for our beginning could lead to our end" fits perfectly. 

I also like the Covenant poster. When I first saw it, I thought that David must have carved it.

Prometheus poster, by far. The ominous nature of it, the number of fan theories it sparked. I’ll never forget when the Prometheus poster first got released and everyone was like… “Wait what” hahaha, good times. I miss those days - when there was mystery in the posters and trailers.

Climate change is real, the first Alien movie had corporate conspiracy in it through Ash. I don't care about reactionary people complaining (screw the reactionary garbage), climate change is real and if they want to look the other way while disaster is close they can contribute to the disaster or do something about it. Do something about it for example, keep people aware of it through movies.

I have a feeling they are A.I. generated as well.

Unfortunately the new Alien TV series is going to be very android/metahuman/cyborg orientated. Probably because the show runner is not confident in the creature itself

given the timeline, wondering if this is about the Hadley's Hope colony on Acheron/LV-426. Anyway, I am super excited. So glad we have another Alien saga after 7 years.

Have to capture new fans. Much of the original base are old, dying and very demanding. ( Dr Who springs to mind... and the Rolling Stones are going to tour arena size again...but most ancient rock bands are casino/lounge acts. )

The Deacon is my favorite alien in Prometheus despite not getting much screen time

Climate change? Really! Didn't Peter Weyland nipped that in the bud during the mid-21st century with his terraforming plants?

The thing is Synths were only threat due to having loyalty to the Weyland-Yutani Corporation as we see with Ash and to an extent with David. Although David was a unique case, although he was an early model but he was hand-picked by Peter Weyland so maybe this particular David was a modified David 8. 

Bishop was loyal to the Marines and Call was a highly advanced Synthetic (Too be honest I think the whole A.I. is a threat started with Alien Resurrection, because in Joss Weadon works he always makes the Synthetic the bad guy or a threatening force)

This meta-human plot doesn't make any sense. Especially this early in the ALIEN timeline! Synthetics maybe. To plot so far sounds like a rehash of Caprica. Also I'm against having xenomorphs (I don't count David's praetomorph as a true xenomorph) on Earth prior to their discovery on LV-426.

I will agree I was hesitant at first with the Meta-Human angle, but after watching Raised by Wolves I no longer have such doubts, I think if done right, the implementation of the concept can be successful without detracting too much from the Alien plot. The biggest hurdle for modern shows now is to avoid excessive woke nonsense. But Alien has always touched on existential threats to Humanity and I definitely think meta-humanism is one which we will see in our lifetime. Synths and Aliens go hand in hand.

If they are serious about this meta-human plot, it will be the death of the series. Damn it, this is going to be the Halo TV series all over again!

an anime to ALIEN, especially a Japanese Anime could take the franchise to a new avenue horror unrestrained by live action limitations and budget.

Examples: Devilman, Blue Gender, Evangelion, Berserk, Wicked City, and Demon City

Disney needs to give the alien franchise over to a studio who would respect it. 

Luckily I refrained from watching all the trailers to Covenant

Hopefully we'll get something. I hope that they won't spoil it like they did with Alien Covenant, that was too much and also in too little time.
