Wouldn't be so quick to call it a hoax. The test screening is being promoted as having a "G" rating. Unless it is an error, it looks pretty authentic. Even the site that hosts these test screening schedules had it up then removed the listing today. Follow the story here.... Thanks Biomechanic....yes it could be rocks. I saved the image and blew it up but it looks almost too smooth to be rocks. It looks like it has six smooth tube like appendages around the object that is smooth and reflecting light. But again it could be rocks i guess.

Yeah actually if they are rocks the shapes don't seem too fit too well with the rest of the scenery.

I don't like the patchy looking pastel colored space suit. Isn't there a space version of Armani or Alfred Sung or whatever by this time in the universe?

Yes the walls are cut and blend right into the ground except for that spot. I know that there is not going to be the proto xeno we are used to seeing in this film. But that object kind of looks like a domed head of some sort. You can kind of see this smooth area reflecting light. The appendages around it look like the tubes that come out of the xenos back....but these look more like solid appendages surrounding what looks like could be the head of something. Wish i could figure a way to brighten and clear the pic up to get a better glimpse. Very interesting.

Photobucket has an editing feature and I think it can brighten stuff up if that is where you are hosting from. You can also use a program like gimp or photoshop but there is only so far you can push it in any of these programs before the image blows out and you lose the detail you wanted.

Thanks for the info Biomechanic. No photobucket for me. Im not very savvy with that stuff. But i just used my picture editor on my computer to brighten the pic and zoom in closer. It looks like something but cant get a clear image. lol Hell i just figured out how to paste a pic on here the othert day. Baby steps man baby steps lol.

lol. I watch every film every week. I freakin love the Alien films. ehh AVP movies not so much lol. I act like they don't exist. I have the Alien Anthology on blu-ray and Game Over Man if you have a blu-ray player it is definitely worth your time. The quality is freakin amazing. But remember if you want your blu-ray player to serve you REAL justice you should get a LED tv, preferably Samsung. Since Samsung does create the best quality tv's out there. But yeah bro, you NEED to get the anthology if you don't have it. And Deadcell it would be kickass if you got a blu-ray player man. There a lot cheaper now and it definetally worth your money.

Yes I will look into purchasing the Anthology. Deadcell you dont technically have to rebuy all your dvds. The blu-ray will play regular dvds too. But if you want the ultra crystal clear quality you need to buy the blu-ray dvds for your favorites. I do have a Samsung and it is really sweet!

There is huge difference between ALIEN & ALIENS in terms of tone and filmmaking aesthetics. ALIENS as directed by James Cameron is standard screenwriting 101. Now I am not saying that it has poor storytelling skills. On the contrary, ALIENS is one of the greatest survivalist action movies ever made. Ripley has a backstory, how she longs for her dead daughter, and she gets it in the form of Newt. In Scott's ALIEN, we don't know about the crew of the Nostromo. They are very well portrayed by the actors but they merely form a collective human presence in opposition to the Xeno. ALIENS has Ripley front center as the subject of the movie. ALIEN is much more emotionally distant, but also much more skillful in portraying an alien world, creating suspense through shadow-play photography & clever editing, and double-billed with PROMETHEUS is much more epic in scope.

this thread morphed into aliens vs alien3 !!!! im pro -alien 3 too but not to the detriment of the other films. i also think its an age thing, aliens for example is easy to access and being considered an action flick,(one of the best by the way) you can just switch off your brain for a couple of hours. Alien 3 is a different beast entirely - its been well appraised on previous threads. i love the fact a lot of people dont its like it partly because they dont get it. better to be loved by a few than liked by a lot. This is the best thread ive read on the matter, some good arguements and some....well lets just say limited. Most of us have been watching these movies for a long time now and the images and ideas have permeated our minds. rest assured prometheus will deliver, this is ridleys genre.

Hey guys im new here! @mind bender Ok, so you said the xenos were redused to ants and could easily be killed with a few bullets. think about it. it makes seance because in aliens, they have rifles and mimi guns, making them easier to kill. but in alien, they didnt have guns (and if they did they didnt use them) and no human had ever encountered the xenos. it all makes seance. Alien: no weapons or experience Aliens: experience and weapons plus military training that is my opinion.

i agree with everyone that said they did not like 3 or Resurrection for what ever the reasons, there were lots of things in both movies I did not like myself , but in both there were also lots of things I truly thought were great and original and thought provoking.I Thought the tunnel kills were filmed so cool in 3 and we even saw one with amazing clarity of blood from above and another as the camera dida twirling 360 as it moved forward through the tunnel in "Aliens Eye View" and we had some remarkable work done with animatronics in 3 and I also thought the fact we learned "They Swim" and John Frizzel's score were both such wonderful Little touch type things in Resurrection. I loved the interplay between Johner and Ripley and the Betty and the Guns on your arms and I absolutely loved the way they drank their scotch!

alien 3 was my least favorite. but there was good things about it. when you got to see the aliens view, it was pretty cool! the way ripley fearlessly jumped off that ledge and killed herself as the alien bursted out of he chest. cool! MY opinion of the order of alien movies: 1: aliens 2: alien 3: alien res. 4: alien 3
