Piers Morgan strikes me as the kind of guy who must research his guests lives before interviewing them so I am hopeful he'll ask her some really revealing questions about her role in the film !!!

Frantz please just stop it. You called me depraved yesterday in a topic I wasn't even involved in and now you drag me into this. I haven't said anything very depraved ever on this site and I want you to leave me out of your snide remarks starting now. Do we understand each other?

Here is a quote from Charlize about her Character in Prometheus: "I play somewhat of a villain in it," she says. "...She’s not a believer. She’s not a scientist. She is the red tape that everyone has to go through... She’s working with the company that’s sponsoring this whole thing and you can feel she definitely has an agenda, which we pick up in the third act. She’s more quiet thunder.” Read more: Charlize Theron Explains Her Prometheus Character - ComingSoon.net http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=85455#ixzz1hOzqQkCN

DinosaurRaghhhPrometheus ForumTheory: interstellar travel and evolution
I think you are on to something, but I imagine that the SJ are a dying race that see humans as a way of revitalising their own species. One of the crew changes into a SJ and then makes attempts to travel with the urns which hold his species the SJ within.

i've been trying to poke holes in your theory(beside the one you mentioned) and it works pretty well. however, there may be some aesthetic concerns related to plot. for example, wouldn't this make the mysterious jockeys, hollywood evil alien race #99999? perhaps i'm holding out for a more profound revelation of their relation to humanity.

centaurian_slug › IMO as well, that's pretty damn good man. It reads like the work of some madly skilled evil genius. I think this idea is key in all of this, the "Harvesting" thing that is. I believe that the idea of the so called "Engineers" is a they represent race of beings that do just that...Engineer things and Harvest other worlds for consumption of the harvested resources. I also like that you even dared to tackle the issue of their evolution which is not easy to do.

i want to question some of the implications of your theory. for example, where do the eggs come from? do you say scott brings cameron's idea of the queen into play? if so, why lay the eggs neatly into the stasis field? wouldn't it be all over the place?

I bet a lot of what Frantz wrote is correct, maybe not the whole thing but for sure some of it has to be !!! The PIcs are awesome and it is very well presented also, I give him an A+ overall for the work, blood, sweat, and raw effort that went into posting that. Do I get some "Brownie Points" for that Frantz?

FrantzPrometheus ForumHalloway ( possible spoilers )
of course walter i can be TOTALLY off target but insted to shoot a theory up in the air i try to give some evidence of it ,,and of course if i nail part of the story that dont mean ive to know all the rest too If to support my theory regarding a limited part of the plot ive to invent all the answers it would be pretty lame and a bad service to the community ..what i present here is what happen to halloway for what i saw until ans simple thinking like >>Shaw pregnat of something strange THEN the boyfriend have something strange<< ..and when i see that halloway got infected then the link is evident .... But is also possible that is totally different Spartacus relactionships downgraded from "deep hate" to " subtle hating " ( joking of course :D )

shardyPrometheus ForumOST for Prometheus?
i do hope that Scott keeps the score as minimal as Goldsmith did in ALIEN, films these days (especially sci-fi / horror) tend to insert loud loud / sudden jolts of music to "scare" the audience, rather than letting the visuals do what they are intended to do. John Carpenter started that, and it was cool when he did it...now almost ALL horror film directors resort to this now cheap tactic i hope Scott keeps the focus on the film, with the score as the prefect accent to the film, rather than the score driving a film of this type....

Looks as though by January we will now who the screenwriter is and whether or not if it will be a sequel or prequel but judging from what Scott said, it will be a sequel...without Harrison Ford.

Cinematography for this movie was incredible. Everything else I thought was mediocre at best. I categorize myself in the Blade Runner was over hyped camp.

I really enjoyed Blade Runner. I thought it was beautifully shot and the narrative was just so much different from anything else that came out in the '80s (or even today). It just didn't follow the average hollywood formula. It doesn't help that I'm a huge Phillip K. Dick fan, either lol

2001 wanted to say alot of things ...and was in my opinion just alot of smoke Blade Runner say the few things that really matter in our existence in a simple and easy way ... so to me bladerunner is 100000 times superior to 2001 .

artyohPrometheus ForumBlade Runner 2: Officially Getting a Green Light
Bladerunner is perhaps, the most fully realized vision of a dystopian future ever produced on celluloid and asked the audience an interesting question. However.........2001 was undeniably the most influential science fiction movie ever made; and asked essentially the same question along with others which are even more profound.....in 1968.

i think that is the space jockey suit but split open down the middle, and the space jockey sits in it and it closes. that is a far stretch but i think that looks like the head split open.
