Fincher, overrated, not IMO. Fight Club Se7en Zodiac Social Network - which was also Trent Reznors first film to score and won him an oscar and golden globe for the soundtrack. add to the fact he had the balls to disown Alien3, because of the troubled pre-production, interference and changes during production and changes the producers made in post-production.

Considering how it was Given to Mr. Fincher...how the suits at fox treated him...the false pretenses in which this was done...what was promised to him...what was done behind his own back on the set to him...what was taken away from him...and the mess he was given to take over to begin with... The extended cut of Alien 3 which was made in haste years later and out of respect for him... is a Masterpiece.

OMG the hype for the trailer is so big that for a split second i thought that the movie was coming out this Thursday lol no joke! if this is what the wait for the trailer is like i wonder what it will be like a few days before the actual movie is released :)

That would be awesome if it got leaked tonight but I want to see it on the big screen and may actually buy a ticket for dragon tatoo tomorrow just for the trailer

Id have to agree with Sparky...The longer cut of Alien 3 is a huge improvement I personally really enjoy it.. ..I also thnk Fincher is worth a punt...id be paying to see his take on the Tattoo film and the fact I get THE trailer is a massive bonus....be a great night out...

I did not want to see this new Tattoo movie I didnt like the idea that they have to Americanize that movie. But I will go tonight because of Prometheus trailer

Yeah, I don't understand why GwtDT needed a hollywood re-make, either. The original is really good, and anyone who can't be bothered to read subtitiles isn't a real movie buff, anyway. As for "Alien 3"[i] the story[/i] stands well on its' own, but [i]as a commercial exercise[/i], it was just silly to imagine that going from dozens of "regular" aliens and a gigantic queen, back to a lone xenomorph was ever going to work.

I agree that sometimes re-makes are a waste..but I think they're worth it if you have a director that may not be afraid to put his on mark on it...trailer looks great...id love to be seeing it tonight...

Philnmaraia I know it seems like a waste of $ and just in a general sense, but to see it for the first time on the big screen would be mindblowing. Its not set in stone that im doing it I guess you'll find out tomorrow lol, we'll see

i cant understand Hollywood's obsession of remaking good foreign film simply to embrace a american audience. Tale the remake of let the right one in the original was great and like the girl with the dragon tattoo trilogy it didn't need to be remade the originals have a dubbed in English option but I prefer to watch foreign language films in their native language and read the subs. I think Fincher's a fine director by the way and definitely in my top 5 of working directors today -although even he has had his share of turkeys (Benjamin button), As for Trent reznor didn't he contribute to the score of seven even for the title sequences . the question i keep wanting answered more than most is who's scoring Prometheus ?

I went tonight at 7 and unfortunatley they didn't feature it. Don't get your hopes up. Just wait until Thursday. I saw the leaked one on Youtube. Wish they would of showed it in my theater......

I am loving the cinematography and I think we can agree this an Alien Prequel....simply the opening of the letters just as it was in Alien...lol

At 40 sec. two people in enviroment suits are apparently carrying a distressed person and you can plainly see a transluscent Gigeresque image beneath the skin on their face, as if they're being mutated into some[i]thing[/i] else.......perhaps it will turn out that the xenomophs were sourced from US.

Yeah, I can make out something going on..but we will see it better Thursday with the 780 and 1080 resolution....but I am happy over all at what I am seeing..truly a Scott Masterpiece...

Love the shot of the craft leaving a vapour trail as it enters the planet.....and the derilect ship upright then colapsing into the Alien LV 426 position....It looks like Ridley will produce a classic...without interference.

The "Creators" helmet or another explorer's helmet....or a head...I see two eyes and what not...

The "Prometheus" is huge...alot of space and dark places for people to transform into something beautifully menacing for sure.

Same, there's also a good shot about 0:40 with someone mutating, or at least their skin doesn't look normal. My excitement has just peaked! I'm happy they withheld a lot of the shots that were in the leaked trailers before. Its near-to-impossible to really tell who or what is the menace here. Extremely excited!

Looks like the levitating dude with the deformed head from the teaser is jumping down from the rover onto another crew member at around 0.40. And I'm not sure the "distressed" crew person isn't being necessarily carried by other crew. Those domed heads are awfully dark... And what the hell is the cartoon-looking bird thing at the very beginning when Shaw is still talking? I can hardly wait. Alien scared the crap out of me. Gave me nightmares for years. Guessing this will too!
