This is one of the coolist discussions. I have to say that it would be cool if the humans did mutate into the eggs. I mean ridley scott said that the creatures would do some pretty perverse things and that deleted scene in alien was pretty bizzare also keep in mind that ridley did mention that only the KEEN fan of alien wpuld know how this movie will tie into alien. I could be wrong though.

As far as perverse things go, I have a feeling it may be more along the lines of rape since the original Alien has rape as an underlying theme. I can go into detail if you like. Also, I don't really think that Alien DNA is literally in the movie. I think Scott was being figurative when he said that.

its a great work RHunter !! 5 stars , but i will be disappointed if that would be the real plot ...things i dont like in your EXCELLENT work 1) it have a clear main character , they will try to avoid that 2) too many things togheter , creation of life , space travel , dna mixture , androids , romance , eroticism , the corporation etc etc i FEAR btw that you will not be far from reality

I'm starting to get a little annoyed by this theory. I wouldn't worry too much about the accuracy of this theory. It's much too specific for something that is currently an enigma wrapped in a mystery. No one knows what the plot entails.

Where abouts on IMDB? Its not listed under the Prometheus plot synopsis. Its a pretty cool idea though (bar the bit in Manhattan.)

IMDB is good for future movie cast lists, but be careful with some of the plot synopses. The plot synopsis there contains a lot of speculation and was written by someone named "bjblackmore". Make sure to check your sources.

It was claimed to originate from IMDB where I got it from. It is a cool synopses when you relate some key points to the Prometheus stills from Comic Con. Like I asked myself why in the pics did the SJ planet or civilization look in one pick like ruins, and in others crew members are carrying flash lights around like the place had been vacated. You think SJ advanced civilization and humans land without contact and snoop with flash lights, so the worm hole idea going back to the terraforming of earth added up to me from the way things looked visually unless the SJ are hiding out in a savage way but they are scientists and engineers. And we have been told Theron's character Vickers is there for other reasons and as each layer is peeled from her there something else...well maybe she may be a sleeper alien waiting to be activated...lol. The thing I don't get is why would a being that's so capable of being uncivilized and ruthless have a flip side to create us. We as are supposed Gods have an obsession with creation too via robot, replicant. In this Universe a lot makes sense for the fiction of things as disturbing as some of it might be.

I have my personal theories about a ruthless and uncivilized alien race having a flip side and creating us. What if only one of the aliens created us and his name was "Prometheus"? What if the aliens don't agree with each other?

Maybe, maybe not. Too early to go into that much detail.

It's possible- with all the talk about someone in the crew being transformed, and the info about the grey/green matter that some have speculated as the cause. I was thinking something like that life cycle might be started again too. I've even had the thought cross my mind that they're resurrecting and merging in elements from one of the unused Alien 3 scripts. If anyone knows which one I'm talking about: I think that we might see a few of the crew become "infected" by the spores(possibly nanotech inside the goo): only they will endure a slower transformation process instead of just peeling out of their skin like the original idea had.

Transforming from human into something else? Probably. Transforming from human into xenomorph eggs (like Alien: Director's Cut)? Most likely not. Transforming from human into xenomorph adults? Possible, but I seriously doubt it.

That would be pretty interesting to see and Ridley building off Alien and thus answering many unanswered questions.

The version you showed from YouTube is The 2003 Alien directors cut dvd. To listen to how they changed it you need to watch the new Alien blu-ray directors cut either from the box set or single disc and then you'll hear the change. I love the version from the 2003 dvd, it has creep factor x's 10. But the new version just sounds like a sound effect from Starwars. I wonder why Ridley Scott changed it?

its interesting ... the only problem i see with the crossbreed between humans and something else is that it will "destroy" the description that ash do of it ..they have really nothing of human , they are pure evil , they hunt and reproduct without any remorse or pity . The crossbreed will tone down that description adding a "human part"

Quite honestly, I very much doubt it. The part about finding an alien artifact on earth is likely, but the rest remains to be seen. There's a lot of wild speculation on here about what people are interpreting based on interviews and wishful thinking. I, for one, do not think that there will be xenomorphs in the film (at least, the way we know them). That includes chestbursters, facehuggers, and all that. Based on supposedly true leaked photos, we'll probably see eggs, if anything. I get the feeling that if it was a traditional alien movie, we would know because the movie studios would use that franchise as a way of selling tickets (which is why studios make movies). Your average Joe doesn't know what Prometheus is; they haven't been researching and reading interviews. Even if your average idiot Joe is an Alien fan, if he doesn't know, why would he see the movie? But for those paying attention (that would be us), it's the opposite. That logically implies a trade-off: "there's no cup holders in this car, but the stereo is awesome" If they flat out said, "There are no aliens in the movie", how many people would see it? They're playing off the mystery about what this movie is. eheheh yes you maybe are not far off . another guy made a plot like this adding a second ship ( the magellan that we know exist ) , so the first ship get "infected " or something like that ... My dream plot is -the crew arrive , thinking to find the Gods -they find an almost dead civilization , now relegated to chairs , fused almost with their machinery ( biomechanical creatures ) -that civilization is evil , they played so much with dna that they destroyed themselves -that civilization created the ultimate weapon : the aliens we know -they start to play with the crew too -the humans crew die fighting but the one or two Androids ( because they cant be infected ) fight back for humanity ( Fassbender and Pearce or Foster ) -they manage to wipe out the aliens and they chase one last ship sent to earth and manage to shoot it down ( killing themselves in the process , of course the alien ship crash on the lv426 )

Do you think it will be android that takes it or Charlize's Character that tries and sneaks it back, being that she is the company rep? And there are two droids in this one which throws a monkey wrench into who might be who....

Now this film takes place 30 years prior to the events of "Alien"? Now, the derelict ship on the the planet has been there longer than 30 years, because of what Dallas says about the Space Jockey being fossilized to the chair. Meaning that these things, eggs have been there prior to the events or "Prometheus". So is it possible that these eggs were a bad experiment gone awry and they were getting rid of the eggs but crashed due to a mishap on board. Of course, I would imagine that in "Prometheus" there will be some ties to "Alien"....

..also Ash knew that, the company knew of the creature which would mean they have previous knowledge of the species prior but when? I would guess with the events of "Prometheus" but that question of how long that ship has been there bothers me, I mean puzzles me if they can play this into the film somehow...

Possible, except I don't think there are any xenomorphs in the movie, at least, not the way that we know them. No facehuggers, no chestbursters, maybe eggs (based on those supposed set photos), and probably no adult xenos. I personally don't want there to be any xenomorphs in the movie and I don't think Ridley Scott wants them in there either. I can go in more detail if interested...

I agree, I want to see Scott's original concept. I am thinking that the crashed ship in Alien has been there shorter than we think. Perhaps due to the elements of the planet and the ship might have sped up the way the Jockey was glued to his seat.

Ok how's this for a plot twist. The Xeno's are a second stage terraforming experiment involving humans done hundreds of thousands of years ago, with humans being a stage one. Since the movie is partly based on Chariots of the Gods. Von Danniken thinks we have been around for atleast 300,000 years. So the SJ's engineer humans first, we live longer, we're arrogant, care for no one but ourselves and live like a virus (yeah a lil'bit of the Matrix), this is bread into us genetically. Who better to terraform a craphole rock (by SJ Standards) that has Oxygen, and Nitrogen by adding Methane, Carbon Dioxide, and hydrocarbons to the atmosphere and then later stage two, drop the Xeno's (with their short lived life cycle) on them to clean up the mess and you got a ready made smaller planet essentially ready to move onto. Could also be the Xeno's were a failed experiment with their complicated life cycle that lead to a more terrify and deadly creature that the Xeno's pale to in comparison. This is the rumor floating about that Scott is making something scarrier than the Xeno's, its related but unrelated. It makes sense if the SJ's are as ancient as we think they are I am sure they have ALOT of scarier stuff in their toolbox than a Xeno that we can't even begin to imagine.

Those are plot points that would only make sense to uber-geek-fan audience members. The characters aren't going to care because they haven't seen the first movie. It's not a plot twist if it has no consequence on the characters. I think the best course of action is to [i]forget about the Alien franchise[/i]. Just forget about it. Forget xenos, forget Hadley's Hope, forget all that crap. Ridley Scott has said that he's making a "creepy" and "perverse" (his words) sci-fi horror movie and xenomorphs are no longer scary. We really should stop trying to shoe-horn the aliens in there.

I just care about "Alien", I know that he or Lindof said that this film would answer some questions about "Alien". Mainly about the space jockey and the ship, I am hoping to under the creatures more and the behind scenes story of the company.

What if they are not impressed and know about humans showing up on their door step before hand! Perhaps there is a sinister mind behind their meeting. If xeno's are the beast the Space Jockey could be the demon behind the beast if it is not already a pawn of the devil, cause their can only be one devil.
