I've been waiting for it since 2014, and it's finally here.

The game has received a mixed reception, I was worried that it would end up like Agony (2018). But for what the game is, I think it's pretty good.

Also, I need to get the art book.

I like it, especially the one in the middle that remind me of the Space-Jockey with the tubes or whatever it's supposed to be. Yeah Chris, if they ever have a movie with the alien home world it should at least contain pieces like that.

This game looks so good! This is what I always envisioned and Alien home world would look like. Brilliantly crafted!

I understand, I don't think i would want the xenomorphs to loose their Feral/Primal Aspect

Genetic Memory i think this is the THING to have Concentrated on with the Xenomorph.  But from the Perspective of what there is to BENEFIT from this, be that for the Engineers or Mankind. It would seem the Xenomorph can Inherit some ASPECTS of this from the Host but we could take this Further.

But to just look at the Basics of this... then YES we cant Rule-Out that a Xenomorph could Learn to USE say Tools of their Hosts... Their Hands should be as Dexterous as ours if NOT even more so.  But i think that going too MUCH into this would TAKE AWAY the more Feral/Primal Aspect of the Xenomorph.

Same with Bio-Ships etc.... it could WORK... Certainly for a Comic and Video Game but i think that it would make them more of a Popcorn Flick and Starship Troopers like Movie.... thats NOT to say it wont Work.... or that it would NOT go and Please some of the Fanbase....

But its about the MONEY and if DISNEY feel such a Route would make MONEY then they could maybe GO that Route.... Especially if they wish to Cater for the Younger Generation of say under 30's.  Who are more Drawn to the MARVEL like Current Universe... rather than say the Dark Knight Batman kind of Superhero Flicks.

I like to see the Xenomorph for their Purity in that they are a Parasitic Horror that becomes the FOLLY and Chaos in Hubris for anyone who wishes to Obtain such a Species.  The same kind of Hubris you would get say if Science decided to Engineer a Deadly Spider the Size of say a LION.... these things then GET OUT and Multiply then they would a GRAVE THREAT to Humanity apart from our Military Weaponry.  And this is HOW i like to view the Xenomorph.

But other People have their own Views and ULTIMATELY its out of our Hands and into whatever it is that DISNEY feel is the way Forwards.

Yeah that kind of PUT OFF our Ridley Scott.... it was Reported that both Scott and Cameron would have Collaborated on a Alien V before 2003.

They both had IDEAS about what to do with a ALIENS Sequel before ALIEN 3 came out, and BOTH of their Ideas were Different.  With Cameron wanting to go to a Xenomorph Home-World were we would see them as some Invasive Species and maybe he would have had them more Advanced than we have seen, but the Idea seem to be that the Xenomorphs came from some World and well this would mean the SPACE JOCKEY would have merely Discovered some Eggs and was Attempting to Transport them... but we CANT be sure if Cameron would have touched upon the SPACE JOCKEY. But his Idea seemed to be that the Xenomorphs are NOT a Engineered Weapon.

While Ridley Scott who before ALIENS had wanted to Explore the Xenomorph as a more Sinister and Intelligent Organism.... had after ALIENS wanted to Instead go and Focus on them being a Engineered/Created Bio-Weapon and to Explore the Space Jockey and their AGENDA more.

Yeah i see the Xenomorph as a Species that can Adapt to its Environment and Evolve so we could see some Off-Shoots of the Xenomorph with some Different Traits and Abilities.

I think they give us the Vanilla-Morph which means looking like those from ALIEN and ALIENS as its what we are Familiar to but i think you can CHANGE it a Little. Some Concepts from the ALIEN V: Red Harvest work did this.

But i would also be Interested in some other Aspects of the Black Goo and Horror that can come from this.... but i Suspect that DISNEY are NOT much of a Fan of the Black Goo as we saw it in Prometheus.  And i think they would Explore it and Answer it as Purely Obtained from a Xenomorph.

While i wont Discus Blomkamps Ideas at the Moment... his Story did NOT need to have Ripley. If you was ever to Explore Ripley again it has to be Ripley 8

To get around her AGE...  you simply have TWO OPTIONS with the AID of CGI.

1) Ripley 8 will begin to Degrade and Age at a Rapid Rate... and maybe some Company/Faction could OFFER to HELP find some Cure to HALT this Process but they Ultimately want to Extract her Xenomorph DNA. You would then ONLY need a Few Scenes to make her look Younger, before then you can go to using Miss Weaver how she looks now. Her Xenomorph DNA removed.... which Halts her Aging but she looses her Powers that she had from the Xeno-DNA.

2) She begins to CHANGE into more of a Hybrid where her Xeno-DNA starts to Overwrite her Human-DNA.  Again you have a CGI Overlay to make her look Younger and then CGI/Practical Effects to make her more ALIEN.

But in REALITY.... i think its BEST to leave what Happens to her Next a Mystery.

well back to the bioships, well we might not know the full capability of the xenomorph since all xenomorph hives so far were either room-sized nests or an entire apartment sized hive.

We know the xenomorphs are exceptional quick observational learners and they tend to have genetic memory, it would probably be rare but if lets say the xenomorphs could completely take over a capital world like earth.

I think gradually the xenomorphs would probably evolve a way to leave that planet after learning everything they could from their host species. I think the xenomorphs could evolve into a strange hybrid of the Geth and Flood

I blame AVP 04 for the reason why Scott and Cameron's ALIEN V wasn't made

I dont know WHY it has to look more like a Xenomorph Queen than anything else?

They could have had it as some kind of Giant Monster that was more Similar to the Trillobite.  That would be able to Unleash like Mini like Octopoid or Tick like Creatures that could INFECT Players etc.  Something more Closer to the Pathogen Aliens than the Classic Xenomorph.

Taking on ANY kind of Origins Story has a RISK.....

Ridley Scott came to the Conclusion that if the Xenomorph was something the Engineers were Responsible for Creating, then ONCE you have show that THIS is HOW they Created them and WHY and then THIS is HOW they got onto the Derelict and WHEN...

Its then WHERE NEXT?    ALIEN PREQUEL 2 with more Xenomorphs where you have to then be CAREFUL as to NOT go and Conflict ALIEN... by that we could as of 2010 just Assume or be Shown the Engineers are the Reason those Eggs got to the Derelict when a SHIP with those Eggs on had Crashed like Thousands of Years ago or Hundreds... and so then you have to be CAREFUL in what kind of Movie are you going to SET between the First Prequel thats say 30 Years before ALIEN...  where does a Second Sequel come? 20 Years, 10 Years before?

As if the First Prequel had indicated to HOW/WHEN/WHY the Xenomorphs got onto the Derelict... with more Xenos on Screen, then the Next Movie what do you do? We do have the MYSTERY of HOW MUCH did the Company know before ALIEN.. as Special Order 937 Indicated the Company had some Knowledge of what to Expect.

But Ridley Scott had become drawn to more about the Mystery of WHO are the Creators of such a Horrific Monster... by giving us the Engineers as the Space Jockey and that they are a Ancient Race of Creators this OPENED UP the Franchise to be about more than just the XENOMORPH... the Franchise was Contained within a 50LY of Earth.... with the Engineers Plot the Franchise would be OPEN to Beyond even our Galaxy.

The PROBLEM was that some Fans would Expect that a Prequel would and SHOULD have given or Lead to us KNOWING as to WHEN/HOW/WHY those EGGS had ended up on LV-426 and the Derelict..... and also that there was NOTHING that was Quite as Relatable to the Xenomorph in Prometheus...

This combined with the Fan Interest and Excitement for Blomkamps Alien V seemed to make FOX decide that the NEXT MOVIE should have Xenomorphs and Begin to TAKE US to the HOW/WHEN/WHY in Future Movies.

Alien Covenant did-not make a Good Enough Return on its Investment and it also was something that had UPSET a lot of Fans (David Created the Xenomorph) that FOX was in a Pickle as to HOW to Continue.... then we had the DISNEY Take Over and it seems any Interest in the Prequels has GONE.

In HINDSIGHT.... the Mysteries left by ALIEN should have been LEFT as such.

I think the Problem with the Bio-Ships would be that a Xenomorph that has the Advanced Technological Knowledge to BUILD such a thing, would likely have other forms of Weaponry. This could make our Xenomorphs like TOO POWERFUL if they are Against the Technology we see Mankind has from say ALIENS and even Alien Resurrection.

I could buy a Hiveworld which has been Invested with Hives and Xenomorphs where they would GET OFF that World via the Hubris of any Species trying to Obtain a Specimen for Study.

I am not sure about Evolving the Xenomorphs to be so Advanced to Space Travel by their own Means.... maybe we could introduce another Species above them? who had merely used the Xenomorphs as a Killing Machine? But this was the Indication of what the Space Jockey had them for.... which became our Engineers.

Regarding the Goo and HOW it could come from the Xenomorph they could go that ROUTE of have a Common Ancestor... but then if we look at Prometheus it would indicate that the GOO was USED to Spread the Engineers DNA to then either EVOLVE into the Basis of Life or (more likely) to Contaminate Life to take on Engineer DNA.

They could CHANGE this by showing us the Engineers were Actually trying to Contaminate Worlds to Create Xeno-Virus Monsters and THUS the Sacrificial Scene is NOT them Creating Life and its NOT set on Earth or HOW WE was Created.

I think my Biggest Concern would be the Contradiction.... in regards to a TV Show that was Set before ALIEN.

But as this TOPIC is about how Disney have NO interest in giving us anything with Ripley in i think this is a GOOD MOVE.... she has had her Story.

UNLESS they Choose to Continue the Fate of Ripley 8 but this would be Difficult with Miss Weavers Age... but there are ways STORY WISE you could get around this... but then its a CASE of do we do something NEW or would we have to have more Vanilla-Morphs... as in the Aesthetic we have seen in Alien/Aliens, AVP and AVPR etc.

I just thought of something, what if the black goo was created after the xenomorphs like the xenomorphs were the Engineer's first bioweapon but then they made the black goo which was a more advanced form of the xenomorphs which could make anything into a xenomorph-like lifeform?

Back to the BioShip Idea, I was thinking maybe the xenomorphs gain enough minds to their hivemind where they act more like a computer intelligence rather gaining sapience like a human. Thus they construct a mobile hive of some sorts by either incorporating some manmade things or they construct living engine of somesorts

That would be sad because I liked the prequels especially Prometheus
