I hope that we are one day given more details on the function and interior layouts of some of these vehicles. I'm always curious about what all of the other stuff on or in the ships are for, even if they aren't relevant to the movies. Like the other two orifices on the scorpion docking ship. The view looking down on the Juggernaut shows maybe another hole (like the bombing one) but on the top of the juggernaut. Maybe it can dock to the bottom hole to unload, or up to the top hole to load things into the juggernaut.
Looking through his other photos in the album, they are just random drawings, with no movie references or anything. Where did the Hideo Yutani reference come from?
Well, I guess I've been learning the slow, long, hard way. :D
When I start, I really have no idea how many chapters will be needed beyond a rough guess. I find the Chapter-Breaks later, during the editing process. I guess that's more of an 'organic' process, but it seems to work well enough.
One thing I do enjoy doing, and this comes from the days back playing Dungeons & Dragons (pen and paper) is I work up files on the characters. They get quite detailed, and again save me from some major errors while also allowing me to just 'forget' about that information as save 'brain-space' as it's always right there if I need to look something up. :)
I only wish and hope that someday technology for Art-making will evolve to the point where I can get some of the Visuals in my head out to be seen. I have VERY little graphical ability, and even that's mainly geared to technical things, like, say, a side-view cutaway of how a turbine engine works.
Professional writers do the same. :)
They know how many chapters are needed for the different segments of the novel, then they fill the gaps, etc. - if I know correctly. :D
...and Avatar is not a movie Ridley Scott would have made ;)
For long, long time structuring plagued me, I could never keep things running properly, then I watched some old documentary about construction of the Empire State building, and (Lightbulb), so I began working from the same Idea/Principle as employed in construction, and it's worked out quite well for me.
It's also saved me a few times from some HUGE plot errors and continuity goofs. ;)
LMAO!!!
Really good!! TY for sharing this!!!
'To me writing is like making a skyscraper, you build the foundation, then the frame, then you add the extra-stuff, then you go back over it and fix all the little construction-errors.'
I think I would do the same. :)
Ingeniero - Thanks, these are just shapes, of course.
Tiwaz - Thanks for the brightened version.
The flies around/on his face are important as well in my opinion.
I brightened the pic. Look at those teeth...

Perez replies with the satisfaction of control the subject, "Makes an impression."
ELGYN: Call? Out by the handle. She was looking for a maintenance gig.
Grabbed a copy to preserve in Archive for posterity. :)
Great work, it has a certain 'feel' to it I can't phrase but just love!!
Very nice find!! I appreciate you sharing this, as now it's an Interesting detail I can toss into ALIEN: Manticore 'Paradise' that allows closure of a small but extremely annoying gap. :)
TY!
Really amazing!! Your attention to detail is exceptional and I can't wait to see the finished project but will happily devour any and all updates. :)
demo video: medical office and com. center
And I am extremely happy this forum is back online.
"hasmataspidida" instead of "chasmataspidida", "crustacea racheata" instead of "crustacea tracheata". Missing letters, possible Easter egg. "When one note is off, it eventually destroys the whole symphony." The drawings indicate studies were done on females. If David did not imagine that, did he found some Engineer library and the drawing is a mere translation? By the way, were was the Engineers' thousands of years of knowledge stored and how come David's lab was not full of those precious records? Did they use only holographic records?
The drawings from David can be just the artistic expression of his lonely dreams, he is a machine and should be able to record/ convert everything without drawings on homemade paper.
However I am extremely happy about David's artistic side as these drawings are fantastic. Love them.
Great job! Looks like it would be a great cover for
Alien: Out of the Shadows / River of pain
if they ever made them into film for A5.
Back to the ear. It is fairly vascular but mostly cartilage and not much nerve endings and thus not a lot of pain.
For the egg in A3, I thought it was pretty much exhaustively decided it was a plot device that we look the other way and enjoy the movie.
Perez (changing the subject) Where'd you pick up the new fish?
Perez- Drink?
Elgyn- Constantly. I'm guessing whatever you've got going on here wasn't exactly approved by Congress

Elgyn - Just the ones that don't like their every transaction recorded. The fringe element. I guess that would include though, wouldn't it?
@Kethol, yes good one, indeed. Philips without a doubt, as I suspected it might be. Much better than the image I photographed with my phone camera!
@I Moon Girl, the reason I asked was because I find it interesting how product placement gets into RS movies. I gather the Atari logo is quite prominent in the upcoming Blade Runner movie. Nice to know that Philips has a rosy future. Having said that, Pan Am suffered a terrible fate after appearing in Blade Runner.
When they're looking at the planet details on the Covenant's monitors, the above screen also contains juicy information like galactic coordinates, and the characteristics of the planet's star. Too fuzzy for me to see - I'd be grateful if someone with a 4K copy can get a screen grab.
Minor annoyance with iTunes Player: Apple are so tough on copy protection they don't allow you to make screen grabs any more. Very tedious.
Arnold Arthur Spamming The Chief? Kids these days- no respect!
Reported.
@Kethol
Nice capture! Philips definitely. Where's this from?
Kethol Nice rendering! I believe you solved the case!
It is the Philips logo. They supplied all the monitors used in the production.

Perez- We're well funded. I mean the bills. There's not many that still deal in coin.
Elgyn comments, "Neither was our cargo. You're not pleading poverty, are you?" (Elgyn just has to remind Perez that he's more than just looks and has got a mind like a whip.)
(It comes from experience Perez reminds himself. An experience in dealing with an underworld and it's just a temporary part of the transaction._
David recalls what Peter said- "Try harder".
(Perez drops a stack of bills on the table before Elgyn)
Perez- This wasn't easy to come by.
David's thinking, "I thought I killed her!? Now there's another one. I must have!"
Daniels seems to know what David is thinking about this too. It's written all over her face.
Shaw looks like she knows she's back from the dead with that massive smile! The sunglasses hide her from everyone else, but not from David. She knew she would have this affect on him.
I have to admit though, Dark Nebula's comment helped me make sense of the picture though. I kind of like now that I get it.
Very Cool logo. It's very modern, futuristic, and industrial. It's like it could belong to a company. I don't want that in the beginning scenes of Alien 5, but it would be a good marketing logo. Did you make that?
@hox
What made you ask this question?
Interesting. Thanks for the info. I might have to buy that book.
Hillard adds in to the crew's mayhem of an entrance, "Yea, join the fucking club."
(Perez just can't believe all the metal that's walking into this ship. He thinks it's probably worse than he can imagine since he's dealing with space pirates. Perez finds comfort, though, in the fact that he's getting what he's asked for. He reminds himself that this will all be over soon... hopefully sooner than soon. Perez than departs from the mezzanine overlooking inspections. It's time to get ready to handle the pay.)
It's definitely the Philips logo. Being a multi-billion (if not trillion) dollar company they no doubt was an investor in the movie.
