The Fly was one of Alien: Earth's more bizarre specimens which Prodigy stole from Weyland-Yutani's downed USCSS Maginot vessel. The look of this bug-like organism was truly, very alien and its preference for robotic / metallic / inorganic material to feed itself made it the perfect threat to the Lost Boys in the show. Weta Workshop have unleashed some official concept art of the Fly by artist Tahiwi Trenor-Hunt which give us an even closer, more detailed look at the specimen's unique qualities. Full size images have been uploaded to our gallery.

Not a fan of flies at the best of times? This one is much worse. Roughly the size of a bunny, this creature — called the Fly — was designed by our artists who worked closely with creator Noah Hawley for Alien Earth.
Quiet and corrosive, it feeds on non-organic materials by spraying digestive fluid from a cannon-like nozzle. A telescopic proboscis then emerges, ingesting the dissolved metals and silicones. When it’s not liquefying its lunch, this predatory life form builds nests resembling stalactites — a home for itself and its larvae.
