Earlier this year we learned more about Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 (code named Red Harvest) movie and what the plot would entail. We learned the film was at one point going to explore the Xenomorph genome and would involve experiments being performed on captive Aliens (by Weyland-Yutani). Recently, some more early concept art was uploaded by Farzad Vrahramyan (an artist who frequently works with Studio ADI) to Instagram but as of right now the artwork has been removed. Thanks to the folks at AvPGalaxy however, we managed to recover the artwork and show it off for you below. Have a look:

Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 project was inevitably canceled following the merger between 20th Century Fox and Disney. Blomkamp had hoped to revive characters Hicks and Ripley for a new film, rewriting the Alien timeline, chalking up Alien 3 and Resurrection to mere bad dreams. Studio executives decided to can the project and instead took the franchise in a new direction, tapping Fede Alvarez to direct Alien: Romulus.
