The search for our beginning will continue in Australia as Ridley Scott and company begin preparations to shoot the upcoming Prometheus sequel, Alien: Paradise Lost in January! A couple new news articles have been released which confirm earlier reports which announced Scott's desire to film in Australia.
Reporting from foriegnminister.gov.au:
“Two feature films, Sir Ridley Scott’s next production for Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, starring Australia’s Chris Hemsworth, will be filmed in Australia from 2016.
Today’s announcement is expected to bring more than $300 million in offshore investment to Australia’s economy, provide over 3,000 jobs and use the services of thousands of Australian businesses.
“Australia’s creative industries are well placed to take advantage of a growing global economy and I have been actively promoting Australia for the production of major international films,” Minister Bishop said.
Building off of that article, china.org.cn added:
"Both of the films' producers have yet to announce specific filming sets for both movies, however locations in the states of New South Wales and Queensland expected to be chosen."
