The concepts of both of these elements were suggested in the concept of this film; Prometheus. The origin of the deadly "Alien". What are your thoughts regarding the Alien Facehugger and the Egg? Hopefully this all will be explained in the film, come June 2012. But until then, share your thoughts with us!

Good call Rick, I think you “hit the nail right on the Head.” Although, it is a bit of a double meaning. “Neurion” is also a quasi-name derivation from the J.R.R. Tolkien “Elvish” dialect of “Quenya.” My actual name is James…or Jacob in Hebrew, which means “supplanter,” “usurper,” or “leg-puller”…courtesy of the Old Testament GENESIS 27:22. So, to make a short story VERY long…Neurion is a kind of Elvish version of Jacob or James. Fortunately, it also corresponds with my neurotic “Self”. And being that the "Myers-Briggs" personality typology sees fit to categorize me as an INFP type…"Neurion” seems curiously fitting. ~NEURION The USURPERRRRR

Makes me wonder how many people will go to watch Prometheus on alien acid for a bout of Neurosis and permanent mystery. Hey if there are no face huggers or eggs in Prometheus, it won't make any difference on mind melting acid. For sure we will not be watching the same movie. I like your new pic! Neurion. Got to have a sheet with multiples of this image. If I get to live to see Prometheus I will definitely be checking behind me.

I think it would be logical that the eggs can recieve sustanance from the ground it sits on. The tendrils that basically hold the egg in place on the ground can absorb nutrients to sustain it. With any nutrient that is absorbed you have to worry about waste or by products. So the blue mist that was seen in Alien could be the by product waste produced by the eggs and also be used as a self generated protective field. So when it's broken the facehuggers come out of hybernation. We are talking microscopic absorbtion to keep these eggs sustained for long periods of time. That's how I would write it if push comes to shove.
