[b]Prometheus casting news reveals 'Elder Engineer' character[/b] British casting website CastingCall Pro reveals some additional Prometheus cast, currently not listed on IMDB. Back in Jaunuary a source revealed to Vulture that one of the characters in Prometheus is simply referred to as 'Engineer 1'. Rumor had it that this character would be played by a tall athletic person, and done entirely in CGI. This story now seems to be backed up by CastingCallPro's list, which reveals two characters of special interest. 'The Engineer' played by Darwin Shaw, and 'Elder Engineer' played by Matthew Rook. Looking at their past resumes, it seems both actors specialize in stunt acting. Darwin Shaw's resume on IMDBpro states martial arts, boxing and combat as some of his athletic skills. There's been a lot of speculation as to who, or even what, this 'Engineer' may be. While some fans believe it's a new name for the Space Jockey, seen in the original 'Alien', others believe it's something new altogether... Wow. I think it could be legit, I know of a dude who got some extra work through them. They'll sometimes let info like that be available to the actors who are members because you have to pay for some of these types of sites. I'm using one for actors/musicians to try to get a recording contract for my band. With Dark Knight Rises, I actually saw a casting call for the prison break scene that I think was shot back in Pittsburgh; so anyone applying online and the site itself knew a little bit before the reports came in about what goes on in that scene (even though the details in the DKR scene I saw only outlined the types of characters present). Allows the people to have some idea what they'd be playing before they travel a long distance for an audition.

Yeah, it's jockey's - AWESOME! I think Lindelof's unanswered question is about them and what happened to the Jockey's chestburster, and if this is the case, we will have an epic on our hands!! WE NEED THE TRAILER THIS WEEKEND!!! :)
