David might reprogram the navcomputer on SJ ship to go to LV-426 and the damage in the crash turns a facehugger loose. Another possibilit is that shaw gestates the first facehugger pod and it wriggles back to the SJ ship and infects the pilot.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

okay new member but have read though this thread.
i would say probably most in line with trailer and mythologies referred to in other threads and a bit of imaginative thinking is that the SJs are a race that can survive chestbursters due to some punishment from the god(s) be it for they angered them or are a creation of some dispandant group of gods, we are evolved versions of the SJs/creations of them meaning we do come from this planetary cluster in the film and explaining our shared DNA with the xenos this also explains why someone would wish to eliminate the SJs and us the ship that leaves the planet from the opening mechanical plates on the surface yet to save humanity the crew of the prometheus sacrifice them self by crashing into the derelict to cause it to spiral towards the ground. the "first" gen aliens are cargo of the derelict as if the SJs are not subjected to chestbursts they will die explaining murals and so on and the shape of the derelict as it resembles the worms and has the characteristic head the release of other cargo may trigger the atmospheric conditions seen in earlier films. irrespective as to whether you hear the trailer as "no it is an imitation" or "no it's an invitation"
or the SJs and xenos were a form of bispiecies like (caterpillar/butterfly) that have since become independent of each other with the cargo being explained as a nursery
open to criticism from the seriously hardcore and am open to alternatives
but really want to know more about eyeworm variety shown in the trailers
