New "Xeno" image in Released Trailer

BioMechanic had a trailer where there are a bunch of images overlaying one another. So there is something that did not seem right in the released trailer that bothered me.. So I inspected the trailer again and I saw this image. For those who see it.. well you'll see it. Others will not. I think the flame from the flame thrower is another scene, just added into the "Cargo Bay" scene... anyway.. laugh all you want. I edited the pic with more contrast so you can see it. So, here it is..

I don't see a xeno or anything. I did always wonder about that fire and it is possible it was put in afterwards strictly to make that scene more interesting for the trailer. They seem awfully oblivious to that fire.
We really need to stop using low quality images. I think I found a site that hosts images exactly the way you upload them.. These were grabbed off of the HD iTunes trailer, enhanced and then uploaded to picturepush.com You don't even have to register.

I highlighted the feet of some people in the background

I don't see anything unusual except their casual attitude and maybe a busted windshield.

Seriously guys? Hahahah. It's just that there is a 3rd person in the frame, out of camera, doing a test fire with his flamethrower, nothing else.

Bio, I see that image you have... it's tainted.. that is not the same image in the trailer..
January 06, 2012
What on earth are you saying? I only highlighted the feet in one picture and used a sharpening tool in the other. The information has not been manipulated to falsify anything it is just your images have lots of compression artifact and are distorted. Watch the trailer in 1080 at iTunes.
In Quicktime you can step frame by frame and I suggest you do so before you accuse someone of falsifying material.

You know what I'm saying.. if you don't want these pictures up.. I can understand.. lol.. I'll take them down. I feel slightly unethical about posting something that is supposed to be kept a secret. Your images are tainted.. they are not the same images in the trailer...

the images Bio posted are the real images. There is nothing in the fire besides fire. The only things seen through the fire are the transport vehicle behind it and its the wheel you keep thinking is a face. Mind manipulation over something so ridiculous as this is silly. You haven't posted anything illegal or secret danrald. Everybody keeps trying to find the "alien" throughout the trailer and it has already been said over and over again that it is not in this film. stop trying to act like a big secret is going to come out of these images and just enjoy them for what they are. you guys are going to speculate yourselves into a heart attack when the film comes out and NONE of these ideas pans out.

Very funny MindBender... If you read the thread.. I changed my mind.. no xeno.. man with thing on his head.. just pointing out how to "enjoy the image" for what it is... right?
Would you like me to change the title of the thread?
January 06, 2012
NO, I'm just trying to make sure I (along with everybody else) keeps a cool head over this stuff. When you over-analyze every detail of everything you are not going to enjoy the final product.
January 06, 2012
LOL.. trust me.. I'll enjoy it... what ever it is.. I'll enjoy it! Good night Bio...

There is actually SIX people in that shot NOT including the SEVENTH guy shooting the flames. But, MindBender is right...it seems many people WANT there to be some sort of Xenomorph creature in this movie and you're all trying desperately to find ANY scrap of evidence from the trailer. And all this "overlaid image of flames" thing is a bit silly, no offence, it's just there is too much else in the shot to suggest otherwise. Yeah, I've said it before and I'll say it again: You are over analysing everything so much that you'll be disappointed to find that a shot like the cargo bay scene is a VERY small, insignificant scene in the final film.

Sorry the two images that were posted - The flamethrower? Were seeing a Xeno in this scene??? Okay we were seeing them in the bad copy of the Teaser Trailer and now this??? Am sorry man but you really really are dying to see a Xeno aren't you???
January 06, 2012
Ridley Scott has said that the Xeno is 'worn out as a shape' and also seemed pretty appalled that you can see them walking around Disneyland! A good thing too. Because It's been done to death & then done some more ..... and then some more again!
The Alien/Xeno isn't scary anymore. Even when it's leaping out of the darkness to chomp the brains out of some poor unsuspecting sod it's about as thrilling as a fart! I'd be extremely dissappointed if we see the original alien/xeno in Prometheus for this reason.

Sorry folks, as a avid fire bug what is seen is flames being discharged from a device out of scene coming from the right. Though the overlapping cuts create illusions, I don't think that's what was intended for that shot.
I'm more interested in the other trailer that has the overlay that says WILD CARD. Does anyone have a link to that version? Sorry if this has been asked a million time before me, but I just saw glimpse due to Snorkelbottom's contribution to the GIF tentacle dispute.

YES!!! i thought i was alone with the idea about where the flame was coming from lol. on the first page i wrote that right when that scene starts to end & blend into the next scene, we see the nozzle from the flamethrower come into focus, which is the fourth person in that scene, hes just off camera. the nozzle is at the precise angle that flame is being launched from. am glad someone else saw it.
