Could the Cocooned Man still be Shaw's Dad??

Im wandering if the Cocooned man could still be Shaw's Dad. I'm thinking he discovered something about the aliens when Shaw was young; (thus the flashback) then takes a mission to the Engineers temple. Shaw follows similar career and unlocks some of her Fathers secrets when she's older, Weyland are already aware, but needed Shaw to unlock it. The second mission then goes ahead with Shaw, Vickers, Holloway, etc .......... Shaw find her Father cocconed by the Engineers in some sort of stasis?? Maybe they need a woman to help them to propogate their species so just put the Dad on ice?; there only seems to be the two ladies alive at the end???
